What is the diameter of the probes and how thick are they?

It's not a big deal, and it hasn't harmed the meat in any way. Everything I've purchased from Inkbird has been excellent (Sous vides, multiple Bluetooth thermometers, instant read thermometers).

For my home brewing equipment, I have several temperature controllers, as well as a 6-probe Bluetooth cooking thermometer and a 4-probe WiFi thermometer. Was there really a need for yet another wireless thermometer? Yes, that is correct. The IBT- 2X is a fantastic addition to my grilling arsenal. When I'm cooking, I usually only use one or two probes, and the IBT- 6X seemed to be a bit much at times. It's great for when I'm cooking with multiple pots and pans, but the IBT-100 is better for everyday use. 2X appears to be exactly what the doctor prescribed. br>br>The device is simple to install and operate. My iPhone sensed the urgency, and I was up and cooking in a matter of seconds. The alarms are simple to set and notify you if the temperature drops or rises, so if a problem arises, I'll be aware of it right away, even if I wasn't checking the temperature on the app constantly. br>br>And the best part is that the probe cords can be wrapped around the unit to keep them neat and organized. InkBird has come up with yet another fantastic product.

Be Wary of the Buyer! This is my second purchase of an Inkbird

The first was a four-probe unit; on the second cook, one of the probes stopped working, and another had erratic temperature readings. After a few uses, the one probe started going up to 500? I returned the first and replaced it with an Inkbird 2 probe. The weight of the meat was approximately 150 pounds. Now that both probes are in ice water, one is at 390 degrees and the other is at 41 degrees, the return window has passed. Buyer beware, I'm not buying anything else from Inkbird.

This product did exactly what it said it would and removed the guesswork from barbecuing steaks to desired temperatures. I used the thermometer the first day I got it and was able to cook a ribeye steak to medium rare perfection. Fantastic product and seller.
