I believe the online description is misleading. Despite the fact that it says battery powered in part of the description, it says battery free further down. It is impossible to disassemble the thermometer in order to replace a battery.
I'm not sure, but I believe it should be fine as long as the oven temperature does not exceed 600 degrees.

I had just purchased a new stove and wanted to see how hot it was. incredibly precise! A new thermostat had to be installed in the new stove. thanks!.
When compared to an inferred thermometer, this thermometer appears to be fairly accurate. They both have the same temperature reading. This thermometer, on the other hand, takes a little longer to reach the same temperature as the previous one.
The thermometer confirmed what I suspected: my oven was too hot. My oven was set to bake at a temperature that was 25 degrees higher than I had intended. It was amusing how things appeared to be a little crispy at times. Oops. Now everything is in order.
I didn't want to buy any of the thermometers I looked at because they all had too many negative reviews. There appeared to be fewer negative comments about this brand. The purchase has pleased me. When I tested it with my oven set to 400 degrees, it was right on. It was bought to use at my father's house, where the oven was set to 350 degrees and it worked perfectly. The oven had been on for about an hour and the temperature had not changed. This is something I strongly suggest.
To check the temperature of my new air fryer oven, I needed an oven thermometer. It appeared to be heating to a much higher temperature than the one I had set. I was correct, as this thermometer proved. It was simple to follow along with. It's great that it can be hung or used as a rack in the oven. I can adjust the temperature control to the desired setting by using this.
This one is simple to read and did not fade. I've only used it once, but I'll let you know if it starts to break down or discolor. Sorry, but that appears to be very accurate as well. It's nice to have a precise temperature for my oven.
I have a Kenmore gas range that is about 25 years old and is a workhorse. Its only flaw is that the oven seemed to be a little cooler than I would have set it. Yes, that's correct. To get an accurate temperature, set it 25 degrees higher. Easy fix. Use this thermometer to check the temperature. Beats is releasing a new line of headphones that include Chinese components. Life expectancy is limited.
I used this thermometer to double-check my work after adjusting my oven's digital readout. One minor flaw is that as soon as the oven heated up, the red paint on the dial face turned black.
