This little jar was my first impulse purchase since I keep lots of honey around and thought it would help keep my honey from dripping while drinking tea. However, I just discovered that it does not have an airtight seal (probably did not read the description properly). As soon as I tried storing in it, the summer ants hunted it down, and overnight it became the place the ants sought refuge in. I hate it.
Almost all of our food is sweetened with It prevents the final product from becoming sticky, drippy, and messy.
Since it doesn't go all the way to the bottom, it can sometimes be difficult to get the last bit of honey. Though it is both decent looking and delivers honey, it dips and delivers!.
It is made of glass but is not heavy, and it is easy and safe for children to use.
My favorite part about this honey jar is its shape. Honey does not spill out of the jar since everything is securely contained. A cup of hot tea with honey and lemon became a regular ritual. Winter days can be brutal, especially when it's cold outside! I love how the honey stays at the top of the jar, and even better how the applicator is kept sealed inside the jar keeping it.
It is of good quality and thick. . . just the size is smaller than I expected. it's perfect for continents like Mayo, where a buffet can be quite a treat.
