It has a capacity of 17 people. Around 12 fl oz of honey, 18 oz by weight.
Yes, there is an inner seal; I'm not sure if it self-seals the first time you close it, but there is a rubber gasket that keeps honey from pouring out without squeezing. We were pleased with our purchase and purchased three dozens of them. Given the high cost of Mason jar options, this is a great deal.
The honey can be found on the silver side.
What degree of spiciness do you intend to use in your sauce? I understand that attempting to melt honey in these bottles leads to melted bottles, but what will the temperature of your sauce be?

We'd tried filling honey bears, Mason jars, and plastic containers with honey from 5 gallon buckets, but they were either messy, inconvenient, or allowed the honey to dry out and crystallize. These little beauties are by far the best way we've found to keep honey available in our kitchen. We like them so much that we bought more to give as Christmas gifts!br>br>The design of the cap keeps the honey sealed and prevents it from dripping down the side. br>br>We like them so much that we bought more to give as Christmas gifts! As I write this, one of our daughters is filling a half dozen from our stock.
I ordered these a few months ago so that we would be prepared for the honey harvest, but it was a mistake because we will not be able to use them. Regardless of how tight or hard the lid is pressed, the inner seal will not seal to the bottle. It has a stiff plastic feel to it and does not crimp. Even if it did seal, the bottle is flimsy, making it easier to squeeze out the contents, but I'm not sure how long it would last. We won't be able to return because it's too late, so we'll have to find another use for them.
17 fluid ounces (17 oz. ) I couldn't tell if they were 17 fluid ounces. So I filled a measure cup (16 FLUID oz) with liquid and poured it into this jarbr>br>It overflowed with liquid to spare in the measure cup. Please differentiate the capacity of your products between HONEY WEIGHT and LIQUID so that customers do not have to return them.
