The cleaning process is very simple. It is brilliant that there is a mortar and pestle in one. A solid stone of very high weight.

I have found the right one for the job. There is a very nice rough surface inside of the bag (not quite as rough as a molcajete, but rough enough to cope with a lot of peppercorns or red pepper flakes). As well, it is a very nice chunk of stone. Silicone covers are very nice and add a nice touch to the product. I find the silicone placemat to be useless. I guess some people are concerned about their countertops, so I guess I see what you mean there. It would be useful when I used the tiny bowl in the bottom, although I am not sure when I would However, I know I will be glad to have it when I need In the main bowl, there are solid vertical walls, which are perfect for stopping peppercorns from exploding. There is no pulverizing action, which could be useful for delicate herbs that need only to be bruised, not chopped. I am quite satisfied with my pestle. I purchased it for twenty bucks and it looks quite nice.

It is quite heavy, not suited for seniors who have trouble lifting. This is a stunning, real piece of art. Also, the included pad keeps it still on a counter top and keeps seeds and things from flying away. I appreciated the extras like the silicon cover to prevent seeds and things from flying away. The mortar and pestle set I received is just what I was looking for. A twenty-year-old me would have loved to have one of these. Basically, this thing is going to last for a long time and will.

While I bought this mortar and pestle about a month or two ago, I haven't used it so far. Besides breaking it in and seasoning it, I haven't used it much. The grinder I plan on using will be to grind spices for Indian food. During the past few months, I have not had much time to cook (Can there be fatigue in the covid? I've seen thus far, it appears to do the trick. I think it will never wear out because it is so sturdy. Should I ever need to purchase another one, I would certainly purchase this.
