Despite the fact that it holds 1 cup of cereal, it wouldn't be effective if you were putting 1 cup of cereal in it. It's perfect for grinding small amounts of herbs but it's not a machine. Buy a coffee grinder instead.
Considering it is granite, I probably won't clean it in the dishwasher. You can clean it with mild dish soap and water, but I wouldn't suggest putting it in the dishwasher.

There is a beautiful granite pestle and mortar with a heavy weight to it. My husband and I have been looking for one for a long time but never found one that fit us until I came across There is no question that the price is Among the lower quality items you could find in the stores, this one had ridiculously high pricing. Packaging is well done and the quality is good. Because it's so lovely to look at, we leave it on the counter all the time.

Like the one pictured in the advertisement, mine looks exactly the same. I like how the 2nd one is somewhat dark, and it doesn't look marble-like. The product still has the same high quality, but I wanted to let people know the color might surprise them.
When it came, the seal on the box was broken but I expected it to be My decision was based on the fact that it did not appear to have been used. My plan is to use it as soon as I have cleaned.

For my nootropic concoctions, I decided to crush up some pills with this. This is a very useful tool. The product looks great and has a good weight to it as well. While I anticipated a lot of use from this, I realized just a bit late that the dissolvable capsules need to be emptied, not crushed, and using pliers to break hard pills first prevents them from sliding under the pestle, wasting time.
Customer happy with the service. It's heavy and definitely worth the money I spent on it. Having been in business for 100 years, the company must be doing something right.
Does a great job looking beautiful and doing the job correctly. Besides grinding herbs and spices, it has enough power to grind other ingredients as well.
