Sure, a cover would have been nice to keep things fresh, but I came up with my own fix for this. This is what I mostly use to flour my dough when I am baking bread in the oven. You can use it on cinnamon toast, really anywhere where you need a little bit of seasoning. The only thing that I wish there was a lid to cover the thing when it isn't However, other than that, I'm really happy with it.
