Although I have not put Parmesan cheese in mine, I'm pretty sure the holes are large enough to get the job done.
That sounds like a good idea to me
As long as the particles inside are smaller than the holes, this should not leak. I have used it for a finely ground chili pepper and salt mixture without experience. there would be problems with leakage if you used water, however.

3 different hole positions ranging from small for table salt to large for minced garlic. There is an easy position to turn the cap to, as well as the ability to completely close the cap. It is easy to remove the cap from the container and the mouth in the top is large enough to hold a cup of spice mixture. If it costs fifteen or twenty dollars, it would still rate four stars, but that would go down to five stars if it were less than ten dollars.
It is so nice to have a handle on a stainless steel container. In order to properly set up the spice rack and store all the spices I wanted in it, I actually had to calculate and measure out what I wanted and then It had me excited to use it, but I was not so keen once I started using it. That's a mess, I tell you! Regardless of what you do, the spices end up all over the screw top, underneath the part that turns, around and under the threads, etc. It appears to be sealed on well, and the screws are tight, so it's coming from the holes in the shaker top. The last thing I need is to waste so much spice every time I use it. I have to blow off a lot of it and wipe it down one last time to keep it clean. Especially since turmeric stains very easily. (The mix includes turmeric, so this is particularly frustrating.
You can quickly and easily fill this grinder, it has multiple different sized holes for different grinding styles, and the piece looks good. However, please note! There is no lid on the damn thing! It was halfway full of chicken wings rub, when I put the lid on, the lid fell off during the process of dusting the wings. My second attempt was to tighten it more thoroughly because I thought I hadn't gotten it all the way tight. This is the second time the lid has fallen off. As soon as I put the lid on again, just using my fingers, I pulled it straight off without even attempting to unstitch Are you kidding me? That's terrible, right? How are spice shakers designed to keep their lids on if they fall off when used? This thing is worthless, despite the fact that it looks nice. There will be no need for me to look anywhere else.
It just gets used all the time, and I can't stand to use tiny shakers to season my food. There were not many shakers available with such a wide variety of hole options as this one. A range of sizes is possible, from the enormous to the My favorite part of it is I can leave it on the largest size hole and just shake while I am shaving. I don't need to keep refilling it (I now buy the Diamond 4 lb boxes since that's what they seem to be selling). You can easily adjust the size of the cap to fit your needs as it works nicely, does not come off, and does not come undone. don't have anything bad to say about this product, except that when it's being used over boiling water, the steam causes the salt to clump near the holes, but that's really Then wipe it off when you're done using it. This is a great shaker for any seasoning you use, but especially if you're looking for a good size one.
I frequently make blackened food and make my own stevia Compared to the brand-name spices available from the top chefs who invented the process, my mix has far less salt. I wanted a shaker that would work well In order to be successful, it needed to meet the following criteria I-*- *- The top is secured by a screw The tops do not require friction fitting. A $20 steak does not need to be covered in a whole can of spices
- There are a variety of hole sizes at the top so I can measure out how much spice I use. A construction made of stainless steel. - I like the size of the container to hold a reasonable amount of spice and not have to mix new batches every couple of weeks - The amount is not that great I can't store it on my spice shelf because it's too big. There is no need to be a diner-size sugar dispenser - Shaking out blackening spice evenly is no problem for me. The spice container has a large desiccant package with a large piece of cardboard on top to eliminate moisture and facilitate shaking. There are some complaints that the spices gather on top of the container. You're right about that. The canister cleared up right away after I washed it with some tap water at the sink's edge. This stainless steel spice shaker I purchased is perfect. To add a sense of scale, I chose a one inch to represent the size of the shaker. The Morton &amp Hedges cocktail mix, 8 ounces To understand the size context of Bassett spice, click here. That's my best shot at helping!.
I bought 2 of these for my grill spice rubs. They come in different hole sizes, which is nice. I accidentally left one outdoor over night, and the lid did not.
In a few hours or days, I'll dispose of it in the garbage as soon as I finish this rub or find another one to put it in.
I read complaints about sweet soft rubs fouling I'm going to drill the holes out to 1/4" and keep it! I guess you get what you pay for when you use Sweet Rubs!.
