Our family kept them in the car during the Covid Lockdown when you couldn't get salt and pepper packets in the drive-thru, and then when restaurants used only the paper packets that only have a few grains of pepper in them. that we eat outside more often, we use them more often. The amounts are posted in this product's description on Amazon, and I am not sure of the exact amount.

Because I am happy with the salt already in my food, I do not add salt to it. However, I keep salt and pepper on hand for my guests, and they love this. Salt is sometimes put on ham by some people. I bought them for that very reason.
