While I have no idea where it was made, I do know that it has measurements on it and that it meets my needs perfectly. To clean it, simply place it in the dishwasher. It has made me very happy.
The picture appears to say 46, but zoom in and you'll see it's actually 48.
The conversions are etched into my copy. It doesn't specify where it's made or what grade of stainless steel it's made of. I can only say that I use it frequently and that I enjoy it.

I was concerned that the quality of this all-stainless-steel dough scrapper would be inadequate because of its low price. It is, fortunately, a "keeper. " br>br>The scrapper is well-made, with a plush rolled-up handle. one- (i. e. the side handle) It's possible to lay the tool flat on a surface. In addition, the roll-out of The formed handle has a nearly complete circumference, but with enough gap that any food residue is completely washed out of the interior of the handle in the dishwasher. The scrapper's forward edge is beveled appropriately, but not to a knife-edge geometry. All edges are smooth and the overall finish is brushed stainless steel. br>br>The Measure Equivalents and linear 6-inch scale etched on the scrapper's face are useful extras. The etching isn't very deep, but it's uniform and thorough. Because of the glare of the stainless finish, you may need to adjust the scrapper's angle to see all of the markings clearly. Nothing to be concerned about. br>br>Because this scrapper is magnetic, it's most likely made of stainless steel from the 400 series (430 - my guess). In many kitchen applications, this is a common occurrence). The sheet thickness of the scrapper is 0. 0235 inches may sound small, but it's just right for giving the tool some "flex" while still maintaining good spring back stiffness. The scrapper, in my opinion, will hold up to normal use, but if you plan on using it to chop chicken bones and the like, this may not be the tool for you. Finally, the magnetic stainless steels are corrosion resistant. br>br> However, as with all stainless steels, you should avoid submerging them in chlorinated tap water for extended periods of time. Stainless steel will be harmed or "corroded" over time by the chlorides. It's fine to use the dishwasher, but many models have a rinse and hold feature that should be avoided for this tool.
I'm so happy I bought this tool for making bread. When I was scraping the dough off the counter quickly, it felt comfortable in my hand. Larger hands can also use it. The measurement equivalence printed on the scraper is burnished into the stainless steel, ensuring that it is permanent and legible. Because this is a Bench Scraper and Cutter, the edges are sharp and should be handled with caution. The cleanup was simple, and the tool now appears to be brand new. Let's hope the bread gets as positive a response as the scraper. Grazie a tutti e grazie a tutti.
I worked as a pizza cook throughout college, which I kept a secret from my husband for years because I didn't want to spend the rest of my life working in a pizza restaurant; I always had a bench scraper in that job and eventually became a mega-scraper. This is a tool that I enjoy using. On our kitchen island, which has a butcher block(esque) top, I found myself making a lot more pastry dough last winter. Why hadn't I gotten a bench scraper sooner? I kept thinking about how nice it would be to have one in my life. So I took the plunge and purchased this device. It has a nice weight to it, is comfortable to hold, and maintains its shape (it is not floppy metal). I also appreciate the fact that the tool includes measurement conversions - Which, once again, begs the question: why didn't I have this sooner? So, it's one of those odd kitchen tools you didn't realize you needed, but it's well worth the money.
What I got has nothing to do with what I ordered. I placed an order for a regular-sized pizza. scraping dough with an edged kitchen implementbr> I was given a cylinder with an open end that was unlabeled. It's not clear to me what it's supposed to be. I'm having trouble e-mailing you. Send Amazon an email or give them a call. As a result, I guess I'll have to pay for it and throw it away. This isn't the same as Amazon.
Initially, I received the incorrect item two times in a row. When I contacted the seller, I received excellent customer service as well as an immediate replacement. They made no demands in exchange. They didn't even want me to return an item that had been sent to me incorrectly. I used this scraper today, for whatever reason. It's truly amazing. I cut and scraped with it. It was a huge success. It has the appearance of being extremely high-class. quality. It's got a nice feel to it. There's a conversion chart and a small ruler on there that I really like. This bench scraper comes highly recommended by me.
If the product was exactly as pictured, I would give it five stars. The dimensions appear black and legible in product images. They're engraved on the tool, but they're difficult to read. Will not be returning because I require and desire the tool.
My Bench Scraper is one of my favorite tools in my toolbox. Brenda Gantt has piqued my interest in trying my hand at biscuits thanks to her Facebook page. When I'm finished, the scraper not only cleans up the surface, but it also picks up chopped foods for transferring.
Good product at a fair price.
