Questions & Answers

Do I have the right machine to make Cavatelli?

There are no restrictions on the width of spaghetti or lasagna noodles when they come out of the box. am not aware if there is an attachment for Cavatelli. It is true that ravioli is attached to the file. Thank you for your help.

Would it be possible to roll thin sheets of dough to make crisp crackers with this machine?

Designed to work with pasta dough (leathery), this machine is exactly what you need. Using sticky dough may be difficult, as you will have to add a lot of flour to make it pass through the machine, which will make the crackers tougher.

Nickel is stated as a property of the rollers on the Marcato Wellness 150 description. Can you clarify, as the Wellness line pasta rollers are made of aluminum anodized?

The Marcato Wellness 150 Pasta Machine has been in my possession for just over three years and it is not red. Made in Italy from stainless steel, it was made in Italy. It is not clear what my rollers are made of, but I have not had any problems with my machine. My favorite kind of noodles is this one, and I'm going to make another batch soon. It seems logical to assume that if it was made in Italy, it would be of top quality.

Where can I find directions on how to properly clean this?

With a paper towel, you can easily clean it off. I have read that you should not get it wet with it. Clean it with a towel after using it quite a few times if you are unsure

In the advertisement for my product, the (pink) Marcato Atlas 150 Wellness is described. As opposed to chrome, the Wellness model has an anodized aluminum body. Steel that has been plated. On the page was the image of the item with the word "Wellness" printed on it, and describing the anodized aluminum components was under the description. Atlas 150 Wellness is mentioned in both the box and the instruction manual when received. Although it was a Wellness model, the item inside was not it. This was the "classic" model with chrome-plated parts that cost less Steel that has been plated. Despite the fact that it was defective, I have returned it and reported the seller to Amazon (see photos). Do not do business with this seller because it appears to be a Check your purchases at every step of the way!.

Be not intimidated by it, it's versatility makes it a great My friend and I bought one of these from some vendor on eBay a year or so ago
5/5

It brings good quality and is a bargain. Trying to use it for the first time, I threw it on the ground and gave it a There was a trash can in the room. However, be aware that the unit in question was a very cheap knockoff. Therefore, I bought one from Bed Bath and Beyond. It was pretty much as expected, but for that price it didn't seem I found the atlas and it ended up on sale here, so I bought The red one is mine. I've been doing that for a month now. The following is what I found Feel free to ask questions. Despite the pasta's forgiving nature, you will probably have no trouble getting your hands on it. When you roll and cut the dough, as long as it is firm enough to cut, it will roll and To test for too much softness, run your sheets through the blades to cut your pasta and they will stick together. Alternatively, you can return it all to the bowl, add more flour, knead it again, or you can simply let the sheets air dry for 40 minutes and then cut them. There are not too many restrictions, as I mentioned above. On my last batch, I boiled spinach in a cup of water over the stove, pulverized it with the blender, allowed it to cool, then added a pinch of salt and bread flour until it formed a smooth dough. After soaking it in the ziplock sandwich bag for twenty minutes, it was ready to be eaten. After rolling out the spinach spaghetti, cut it into pieces. It was easy, I didn't even have to measure anything, and I didn't even have to A size 7 sheet was distributed as well. When I get thicker strands next time, I'll dial it up to 5. You can try and fail and have fun while Have fun experimenting with different types of dough. Try different flours, spinach or carrot (steam them and then mash them in water with garlic in the blender. That works very well), eggs or no eggs, salt or more salt. Most website recipes also call for semolina flour for homemade pasta made in Italy. It has been reported in the forums that The flour made from wheat durum semolina is what's used in italian factories, but regular flour is what's really used in small bakeries. I just wanted to put a hint out there

If all you have is all purpose flour, these will work just fine. They wipe down well, so the cleanup is easy. I have never had a problem with dough sticking to the blades of the machine, but the bottom features a set of three plastic brackets that can be removed to use a brush to scrape dry parts off. The internet forums also recommend vaseline oil, which is called mineral oil in America. If you ever need to lub anything, this is the stuff you want. I have not noticed any discoloration of my pasta, despite the fact that my pasta is not always white.

There are also a few basic recipes in the booklet, as well as instructions on how to use it. In this case you will get some very thin spaghetti noodles if you set your pasta sheets all the way to You can also eat it as ramen noodles. Vermecilli dialed to a 7 is a little thicker than a dialled 7 is. To make the soup more like languini, which is a pretty perfect noodle for most dishes, I will up my rating to about a 5 from now on. In the end, what matters is that you can experiment to find out what works There's not much to say about this machine, other than As the number of uploaded pictures is already quite extensive, I will upload a few pictures. Here I used one egg, parsley, garlic, roasted bell peppers, bread flour, and a teaspoon of salt to make a rather simple batch that turned out great. The recipe was really simple, but it came out really well, and it was fun and easy to make. Have a good roll.

I think this thing is cool
5/5

My first impression of this thing is that I am totally in love with it. It's what I use most of the time to make pasta. The trouble I had to deal with was something some of the people mentioned, and I have made fresh pasta every few days since I bought There are many benefits to buying this product *The table clamps do not damage the granite*The counter clamps are durable*It matches my kitchen*Stainless steel is easy to clean *The red contrasts nicely with the cabinets and counters*Cons If you do not screw it in all the way, then it can fall out, so be sure to do it all the way

FYI Place 1/2 cup of white unbleached flour in a food processor and add 1 large egg on top. Blend it until it resembles a smooth paste. When the dough is still too sticky, add a little flour and continue to work. If you make it chunky, it will look good. You can then pull it out, roll it in a ball, and cut it You begin on 0 and then roll through the folds, This is what I do about six times each week As the thickness increases, you increase the number of times you roll, starting at 8 until you cross over to two and don't fold twice, then 3,4,5, and 6 (if desired). Using a pasta cutter, cut it into thin strips. Once it has been added to boiling water, add it for no more than 2 minutes and then remove it from the To make the crust stick, you might want to add some butter. Keep an eye on the boiling process, because the extra flour will make it likely to spill. If you like the flavor of basil and garlic, you can add a little basil and garlic powder to the flour before hand and make some delicious.

Once roler has been used, it will no longer work
3/5

The machine has been received as a B- Last week, I tested this as a day gift and it was great. The roller part of the machine that stretches the pasta is no longer working after I made another batch a few days later. I went to Google and found a lot of other people had similar problems. There are no longer any gears connected to the gears on one of the rollers (the roller with the thickness adjustment knob) and the opposite roller. There is something that rattles inside the metal casing when I shake the machine. I reached out to Macato on Facebook and I will update the review if I receive a positive response. A very disappointing experience. I chose to have the pretty red color. It appeared to be an excellent high-end machine.

A 4 out of 5
4/5

This number should have been at least 5. My family and I are in love with Making my own pasta is something I want to try since I have been making my own sauce for years. The decision I made was a good one. It's an impressive piece of art, which appeals to the eye and feels like it will last. A rattling noise could be heard when the unit arrived. I removed the side plate and found that one of the nuts had been missed. Because I am a huge fan of it and have used it quite a bit, I would have taken away 2 stars, but I really love it and it has worked great every time. Flour, eggs, and olive oil are all you need to make pasta, and it is delicious.
