HIC's Spaetzle Maker makes dozens of perfectly formed spaetzle dumplings in a consistent size that cook evenly in a matter of minutes.

Safety hopper gently cradles dough while keeping fingers out of harm's way; stainless steel blades that stay sharp; comfort-grip handle

Form dough and place it in the hopper; slide the hopper along the blades; drop dumplings into salted boiling water one at a time to avoid sticking.

Serve as a substitute for pasta, rice, or potatoes in dishes like chicken and dumplings, alongside beef or veal, in soups or stews, and mixed with cherries, apples, and other fruits and vegetables.

Hand wash in warm, soapy water and thoroughly dry to make it easy to use and clean.

Questions & Answers

Is the dough too wet to grate because of the steam from the boiling water? Is there a way to get out of this? Should I start by adding more flour?

What is the thickness of your spätzle dough? Isn't it possible that it's a tad too thick It is most likely dependent on the recipe. I've used mine at least ten times now and it's fantastic! Another option is to brush it with crisco or Pam before adding the dough, and then reduce the heat to a low simmer once the water has reached a boil before grating. The Kaese Spaetzle recipe that I use can be found on AllRecipes. I hope this information is useful.

Is this product safe to put in the dishwasher?

Because of the small bits of dough that can stick to the board, we don't usually put it in the dishwasher. But I can't think of any reason why you couldn't. The box has been placed in the dishwasher.

What is the size of the holes?

I was able to fit an eraser-sized pencil through the holes. exactly what I was looking for

I'm off to Oktoberfest! This weekend, beer, bratwurst, and spaetzle are on the menu! br>I used to have a ricer that I used to make spaetzle, but the holes were too small, and it 'gooshed' out the sides and top, making more of a mess than a dish. The slider box glides smoothly across the grater in its track, which is ideal. br>This has a double 'lip' on the end so you can rest it on your pot while you 'grate' your spaetzle dough/batter into the boiling broth (or beer, if that's your thing!). )br>I am extremely pleased with this top-of-the-line product!.

As long as the spaetzle dough is the right consistency, this was a breeze to use. There are numerous videos available on the internet that cover every aspect of spaetzle preparation. Dinner was delicious, and it was a fun new thing to experiment with in the kitchen.

This has made me very happy. It's simple to use and clean, as long as you do it right away. Cleaning becomes a chore if the spaetzle batter is left out for an extended period of time. Spaetzle is so simple to make that you can make a batch for a quick slide dish any night of the week. Drizzle hot spaetzle with a little butter, then top with toasted bread crumbs and finely chopped chives for a delicious side dish. For a tasty and filling meatless meal, I like to serve it with roasted cabbage and carrots. I'm so glad I bought a real spaetzle maker at last!.

lol Keeping the batter in the maker and pushing it at the proper rate was a challenge; The tool kept breaking, but with practice, I was able to master it. It is easy to clean and appears to be of good quality. I'm hoping it sticks around for a while! ~S.

I'm making it for the first time. It's simple to use and it works flawlessly. And it's incredibly inexpensive. br>I am a huge foodie who enjoys a wide variety of cuisines. I don't recall ever having Spaetzle, but when my daughter suggested getting some pre-made, I jumped at the chance. I decided to try my hand at making it because it was so delicious. It's simple to do, and it's beneficial in many ways. It was a hit with the little grandchildren.

I wanted to try my hand at making my own healthy spaetzle, so I ordered this. Spaetzle making is usually a messy process, and the top box in which the batter is placed eliminates a lot of that. The noodles are made by sliding it back and forth. With just a grater, this would be impossible. The construction withstands washing in the dishwasher, making cleanup a breeze.
