It is designed in a way that makes it easy to use and fill. This product is big enough to serve a decent portion of batter at the same time, and the holes seem to be just the right size. It separates very easily, cleans up readily, and slides right back together again with no problems. The dish can most likely be put in the dishwasher, but as long as it's not too dirty, you can wash it by hand very quickly after using it. This is my first purchase, and I'm very pleased.

It has already been a number of years since I bought my Westmark spaetzle press. This spaetzle maker, though, is what I bought because I was looking for something to make shorter, fatter spaetzles. Besides working well and being a snap to clean up, it is also easy to store. One small complaint I have is that it's hard to remove the dough from the little crevices around handle, and out of the tracks where the hopper runs. But, if you get creative you should be able to do it.

The blades are made of a sturdy material, and are easy and enjoyable I was very happy with the outcome of the spaetzle. Although it seems to be difficult to get all the corners clean, that will be the case for If I had to choose again, I would buy this.
