Product Description

Each set includes two cruets with a capacity of 5-ounces/148 ml, two stoppers and a carrying case
There's nothing worse than picking up red wine on your tablecloth or leaving a stain on your tabletop. That's why Prepara's cruets have a patent-pending drip-free spout to prevent spills.
This cruet has a built-in filter that prevents the cruet from becoming blocked when using flavored oils or infused oils
The wide mouth of the glass container makes it easy to fill, and it is BPA-free
You can wash top rack dishes in the dishwasher

Questions & Answers

Does the oil have a seal or is it constantly exposed to atmospheric An oil that is rancid is air. Its description calls it a filter, but the reviewer states it is a cover/tap. It would be helpful if you could clarify. ?

I can barely get through the small opening. This prevents the contents (oil, vinegar, whatever) from being poured out in a big bottle container and instead allow the contents to be applied in a fine stream to food instead of dripping. Fortunately, there is a little cap that covers the opening but it does not fit tightly so it is unlikely to be an airtight As a result, if the bottle were to tip over, some of the contents may leak out with slow dispersion. If there is much oil exposed to the air, I would say I am not sure. In this case, the very small opening and the little lid seem enough to keep the oil safe. It has not happened to me yet to have rancid oil from storing my oils in these cruets for just over a year. The containers are not overly large and the contents are used up relatively quickly, so the oil does not sit in them for long. I find these small containers very useful They look nice enough to keep them on the sideboard or counter, and they're perfect for drizzling a fine stream of oil on food. In addition, I have a third one that I use However, there are a few caveats It is very important to wash the container and lid carefully because the lid is very small Having that little item out in the open would bring the risk of losing it down the drain if dropped or thrown out by accident.

How would you describe these? Are they ?

This white top part screws onto the glass and is composed of heavy-duty plastic attached to the bottom half of the piece. The set we have is awesome!

Is it possible to get silicone spout closes in replacement form? I assume one has been washed off or eaten by the garbage disposal, or left in the dishwasher utensil basket?

There is nothing I can tell you at this point. Upon visiting the Prepara website, I noticed a link for replacement parts, but it fails to list that part. It may just be that there is no replacement for that part.

Are there any other people having the same issue? Mine is leaking around the middle. Whether I should return it is an issue I am considering. ?

There were no leaks in my experience with them, although I did not use them for very Using oil and vinegar at home is no longer an option. As far as I remember, they used to be awkward to use. You would think if they leak, they should be returned.

A little bit of modification makes this a useful product
3/5

We had problems with our leaking unit, so I contacted Prepara directly and it was exchanged. As I was testing the new one, I realized the problem was because the silver collar was too thick to ensure a tight seal between the gasket on the cap We have been able to keep the bottle leak-free by removing the silver collar. The problem with this particular bottle has not been reported by anyone else. Previously we had an older version of Prepara that worked great until I dropped it and it broke, which is why I was hoping this would work similarly. Although we made a few modifications to it, we still find it very satisfying. This makes the oil flow slower and we like it because a lot of oil does not come out We pour EVOO from the original container if we have a larger amount of oil needed for a recipe or something. The following is an FYI (Side It is possible to get this product for less on Prepara's website, even if one must pay for.

There is a bit of disappointment on my part
3/5

A set of these chairs was given to my cousin three years ago, and she loved it so much I ordered a set for myself as well. Glass is fine, but plastic seems to be a bit flimsy, so I have to be careful not to tighten it up too much because I'm afraid it'll break. It was imperative that I removed the chrome piece from both bottles or they would leak all over the container. I decided to keep it even without the chrome piece, since it does not leak or drip.

The purchase was well worth it
5/5

Because this set is more expensive than my last set, I debated purchasing it, but my last set I bought on a budget, and that's what I still have. There has been an oil leak. There was a lot of dripping going on. As a result, I chose to take the leap of faith. I'm so happy to see this! The product does not leak, it pours easily, and I tend to waste less, which means I am actually saving money on the product over time. EVOO and balsamic vinegar are basically my main ingredients on my salads, and I have salad pretty much every day of the week, so I needed something that would work. The item I purchased is excellent. I'm very pleased with it.

The smartest of the cruel
5/5

Everyone has said it already, but there are no drips and this is not even a drizzle or a real drop. Specifically, I'm using it to drizzle olive oil on pizza, so it fits that purpose perfectly since you cannot overpour. There is a lot of glass in this whole piece, and the top half of it is made out of plastic. Despite what the picture shows, I believe it's a very nice piece too (more than the picture implies). It has a rubber cap that is the only thing I dislike about it. My view is that it's just an ornament at the top, and I am not sure what benefit it's offering, but it's not something to deduct a star for.

It is convenient for filling and cleaning
4/5

As described, the cruet set comes in exactly that way. It is convenient for filling and cleaning. Due to the lack of space for them, the little caps are kind of annoying.

It's a very nice design/concept, but the materials don't last
3/5

Very nice design/concept, but the materials don't last. The oil dispenser plastic screw-on does not last. During the first three months of 2011, the top broke. Apparently, the vinegar dispenser's glass bottom is chipped (remember the glass from around the screw" I saw the chips in the bottom of the container after I saw the chips in the edge of the They were good while we used them, but we only used them for a limited amount of time I had no drips, and the piece looked nice on the table, but I definitely would not recommend it for.

I love this
5/5

The set I am looking for is just what I wanted. This rain gutter system allows you to control how much water you use by letting it fall in a nice drizzle. When you place the lid on, you should be able to handle it as long as you don't strong arm it. It is easy to fill and I like the design of the set. If I had to buy this set again, I would.

There are no drips, the pour is slow
5/5

For quite some time now, I've been looking for an oil dispenser that does not drip down the side. This one really doesn't drip down the side, possibly due to the flow being slowed down This procedure usually takes between 15 and 20 minutes Just keep that in mind when you are trying to get a tablespoon of oil out. This cruet would be best suited as an oil cruet to drizzle oil onto salads or to oil cooking pans. But by no means is it the best tool for dispense 1/4 cup of oil for homemade mayo or similar purposes.
