Hello there, my measuring range is Min. a maximum of 2g 10kg
This tab is where you can calibrate your scale. Every few months, or so, the tab should be removed. If you use your scale frequently, you should take it out more often to ensure that it is accurate. When removing the tab, make sure you pull it all the way out. Once it's engaged, you'll be able to feel it lock.
I had no trouble reading the display. In my opinion, this isn't a printed label.
Because my scale is kept in the cupboard, I decided to test it out by leaving it out on the counter for an entire day. When I press the on/off button on my scale, it turns on. Nothing happens when I put items on the counter. It can be finicky when I'm measuring, but if I turn it off, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on, it's fine.

This scale does not weigh anything less than 3 grams, despite the fact that it claims to do so in the description. Once you've surpassed 3 grams, it'll weigh in one-gram increments. If you use a dish and then tare on it, it will weigh items that are less than 3 grams. So I just put a bowl on it, hit tare to reset it to zero, and then proceed from there. It is extremely sensitive to any movement, so allow a few seconds for it to fully register the item's weight.
accurate. Plus, there's a TARE option! (Can you tell me what a tare is? (See the section below for more information). This tiny scale is one of my favorites. I've always bought good quality cheap plastic ones. However, I needed something a little more precise for good sourdough making. There's also a tare option. Simply put, whatever container you're measuring into should be placed on the scale first, then activate "tare" and the scale will zero out! You're no longer using the bowl to measure your ingredients or items; instead, you're using it to measure your ingredients or items. No more weighing the bowl or plate and then doing the math to figure out what the true weight of the contents is! (Check out this image: Despite having the measuring cup on, the scale reads '0' after pressing the Tare button - a little to the right of the measuring cup - has been influenced! )br>br>It can also be set to ounces or grams. I'm sure I've seen a lot of European recipes on the internet, but I didn't want to have to convert grams to tablespoons or ounces. I'm relieved that I'm no longer required to do so. From 0 to 100, this scale can be used. 1 oz. to 22 lbs. (2 g/3 g to 10 kg. ) Adding 1 oz. at a time. Not bad! br>br>For the home chef, I would highly recommend this scale!.
I came to the conclusion that I required more precision. I only looked at 4 scales when I was researching them. 5 out of 5 stars. On Amazon, I looked at about a hundred reviews. I have no idea when or if this item will be available again. Is it because of tariffs imposed by China? This scale would make a great gift for a couple of people.
UPDATE - Nicewell Customer Support contacted me after reading my previous review of this scale and arranged for a new scale to be sent to me. The batteries are still GP, but so far they appear to be working better. The customer service provided by the company is excellent. I strongly encourage you to use this scale. The ON/OFF button is turned on and off with a soft touch. The scale is small and light, with a sleek design. The numbers on the bright display can be seen at any time of day or night. The fact that few parts are made of plastic, which I try to avoid as much as possible, is one of my favorite features. br>br>I just got my new scale a couple of days ago. Two new GP batteries were included in the package. The numbers kept changing when I used it the other day. I weighed various objects and received different results with each one; I even compared the results to another scale and discovered that they were significantly off. My new scale seemed to be malfunctioning. I replaced the GP batteries with Energizer batteries after removing the GP batteries. The issue has been resolved! A good set of dependable batteries can save the day!.
This scale is fantastic. It will take the place of an older, very similar unit. This thing, on the other hand, has a few minor feature differences that add up to a far more pleasant user experience. First and foremost, I admire the design of the back-end. display that is well-lit My scale doesn't have this feature, and when I put a large pot, bottle, or other large vessel on it, the shadow cast by the larger vessel made the readout difficult to see. Second, whereas my previous unit used a large watch battery, this one uses common AAA batteries. When it's time to replace something, it's a lot easier. Third, and most importantly, my old scale could only go up to 11 pounds; this one can go twice as high. So, if I'm making a large batch of something, I don't have to measure half of it in one vessel, half in another, and then combine the two. If I want, I can combine all of the ingredients in one vessel.
I should've bought it much sooner. It's a lot easier to measure ingredients in grams than it is to measure volume in Imperial units. Many more recipes now use grams, and I've found that being able to accurately measure 50 grams is essential for feeding sourdough starter. The tare weight function is also very useful. It must be used on a flat, solid surface that is not tiled. My previous canning scale didn't work. both metric and non-metric I'll never use another scale after using this one.
I've never been one to measure out my ingredients this meticulously before, but I wanted to take things a step further for Thanksgiving baking. This scale came in a nice box with blue film over it, so it was still shiny when you got it. The tare option is a good choice. Simply place your measuring device on top of it and press "tare" to ensure that the weight of the ingredients is not affected. You can measure in a variety of ways (grams, kilograms, and pounds, for example). ounces, fluid ounces, and milliliters) that will be very useful around my house. This will be used for pool chemicals and rock tumbling by my husband. His other scales apparently don't go up to 22 pounds, which he desperately needs? Sure. br>In general, the scale is very accurate and doesn't take up a lot of room.
This scale has been in my possession since October 24, 2019. It was fantastic at first. Great design, plenty of platforms for weighing out portions of meat, etc. , but after a few months, when I weighed out 5 grams, the scale would reset to zero. I weighed it again on a scale I use to weigh tea leaves, and it was 9 grams, not 5. The same can be said for frozen vegetables. When I weighed out 100 grams of frozen green beans, the portion for my veggies appeared to be too large. It was over 150 grams when I reweighed it. It's too bad, because I liked it at first, but it wasn't accurate.
