Spring Chef - Must-Have Potato Masher with Long Handle, Easy-to-Clean Stainless Steel Wire Head Masher Kitchen Tool, Includes a Vegetable Peeler

This is going to be short. I ordered this set, which included a potato masher and a vegetable peeler, because I needed both and was too old and tired to go shopping for them. When they arrived, I used the peeler to make carrot shavings for my puppy's dinner. It's razor-sharp, floats, and completed the task for which I purchased it. It's still working for me after about a week. The masher has yet to be put to the test, but it appears to be in good working order, and I held it comfortably in my hand. I'll report back if there's anything noteworthy to report.

people with a right hand It fits comfortably in my hand and mashes things evenly and quickly. I'm left-handed with small hands. I'm right-handed, so I appreciate that the masher fits comfortably in my hand and doesn't appear to be biased against it (some kitchen appliances have grooves designed for right-handed people). It's a real issue for left-handed people, as it makes the grip uncomfortable for the left hand. ).

If the masher gauge was a little thicker than it is, I would give it five stars. The items were shipped in an envelope package, and the tines of the masher were bent when I received my order. Spring Chef is not responsible for the shipping packaging of their products. When I contacted Spring Chef about my masher being damaged in shipping, they immediately offered to send me a new set of these two utensils at no charge. That is excellent customer service, and it deserves to be recognized. It is my "go-to" weapon; it smashes, mashes, and performs admirably. br>br>A versatile tool, I discovered that it can also be used on sweet potatoes, which is a nice bonus. To be honest, I've only tried sweet potatoes, Idaho potatoes, Yukon Gold potatoes, and Russet potatoes. I haven't tried it on red potatoes yet, despite the fact that the picture suggests it will.

It's time for a revision. In preparation for dinner, I was peeling potatoes. It occurred to me that using this peeler makes the task almost pleasurable. It's a term I frequently employ. It hasn't changed much. My favorite potato masher is the one that came with the package (I have another). I don't make mashed potatoes very often, but I do so frequently in my Instant Pot soup recipes that require a hand blender. My husband's name is Instead of a perfectly creamy soup, I prefer a soup with a slight texture. I also use it to make egg salad by mashing eggs in it. In my Instant Pot recipes, I use ground meat crumbles.

The overall quality of the manufacturing is very good. One of the newer mashers I have is one with a round flat plate with large holes. It gets the job done, but I grew up with these old-fashioned mashers. Aside from nostalgia, I prefer this type of masher because it is faster and easier to use. Plus, it's a lot easier to keep clean. br>It's also easier for me to judge the lumpiness of the mash this way. I like mashed potatoes with a variety of potato bits in them. However, this is a matter of taste. This type of masher has helped me make silky smooth mashed potatoes; the key ingredients are butter and cream/milk. br>The extra peeler was also a nice touch. br>Neither cooking tool has caused any problems so far. This is a must-have for anyone looking for a tried-and-true traditional masher.
