The blade bears the inscription "China" on it.
As a result, I don't use wooden handles because the wood won't withstand the amount of water that soaks through. I'm not sure how long the handle would last in a dishwasher. I wash by hand, so I'm not sure how long the handles will last. A knife can be washed and rinsed in less than two seconds.

The small size, dual edge sharpness, and light weight of this tool make it ideal for everyday use. The slight curve allows you to get "under" the fruit from the half grapefruit's perimeter. All of this enables the fruit to be sliced from the membranes quickly and completely. Sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar over the surface of the pulp and serve with a maraschino cherry in the center for presentation. I've been looking for this type of tool since I was a kid because my mother had one. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Here's something to think about. The fruit will sit flat in a cereal bowl without rocking if you slice a little peel off the bottom! 👌.
I've never been able to track down a grapefruit knife as beautiful as the one my mother uses. br>This one works fine, it has a slight curve to it, and it works fine, so I decided to keep it. br>The flat weird end is a pain because it doesn't cut all the way down to the grapefruit's bottom middle. As a result, it's not as fluid or simple to use. However, it is superior to some of the others I've tried.
My previous one lasted at least 20 years before the wooden handle broke (why don't husbands listen when you tell them not to put something in the dishwasher?). )br>These are nearly impossible to come by in stores; everyone seems to have only those ineffective (in my opinion) grapefruit spoons. The best option is to use a grapefruit knife. HUSBANDS: I've had this one for a long time and it's fantastic! Thank you for not putting things in the dishwasher that have wooden handles!.
It's a cute little knife, but it's lacking in functionality. I believe the jagged edges are fine for grapefruit, but I always used my last grapefruit knife to remove the skin from cantaloupe and honeydew sections. Melons will be difficult to cut with this knife.
I'm very happy with my purchase of this grapefruit knife; it really does make a difference when compared to a regular knife. I like to have half a grapefruit in the morning, and I cut out the segments perfectly with this knife. I'm pleased with the performance, and the price made me happy as well. If you want to keep it for a long time, hand wash and dry it.
We had misplaced our old grapefruit knife, so we purchased this one to replace it. I attempted to use it, but the blade is far too straight to cut into a curved fruit. We tried carefully bending the blade further but it just broke and is now in the trash because it's so straight, it's basically a regular serrated knife, not a grapefruit knife. The majority of people seem to like this knife, but I'm curious if they've tried cutting grapefruit with a curved knife and discovered how much better it works.
This is a fantastic tool. I think he's fantastic. The membrane will be left in place and the sections will be cut out. The tool comes with a straight blade, which works best when you cover your fingers with a rag and bend it to follow the curve of the grapefruit.
I use it on Kiwi fruit and find it to be a great value for the money. It's something I'd recommend. I am overjoyed.
