* Natural soapstone chalk. It is 18 years old Having a set of cheese markers is a stylish and elegant way to serve cheese to guests. A set of natural slate markers and soapstone chalks and linen storage bags are my favorite. As well as marking desserts, like fudge varieties, I will likely have them on hand to make. My favorite use will be for cheese varieties, of course, as I am sure I will find many more over time. Kleenex actually wipes off the soapstone chalk as well as a cloth. You could give these as a gift to entertainer friends who enjoy these simple tools. Despite the fact that these aren't perfect, I'm happy with them.

Those cheese markers are great! I needed a different size for the charcuterie board, so I spent a little more than I normally would on disposable flags

My handwriting isn't great, so that combined with the uneven texture can result in some issues, but nothing too serious. Good product. I would recommend it!.

There are chips and flaking in the material

The idea of these slate cheese markers was lovely, but I was very disappointed to find that they came packed with flakes and chips right out of the package. I returned the slate boards immediately because I was concerned the slate material would peel off onto the food boards. Can it be that my set is defective? In the end, I chose to enclose the toothpicks in paper.

Parts that are broken

The majority of the pieces that I received were broken upon receiving this item. A replacement has been requested. The replacements were also broken when I received them.
