These discs perform exactly as they should. They make it possible to pour wine without spilling it. br>br>However, even after only a few washes, the silver paint (? The disc starts to come away from you. A transparent plastic disc with a splotch of silver in the middle is all that's left. The disc will start to peel into separate layers if you continue to use/wash it. Although they aren't expensive, having to throw them away after only a few months of use seems disappointing and wasteful. I'm hoping I'm not downing silver paint flakes.
As a hobby, I organize wine tastings. Because I don't know how long or how often I'll do it, I wanted something simple. Pouring 1/2 oz samples is made easier with this low-cost solution. The full spouts are more expensive, and I'd need at least four to get the job done. "Sure, I'll give these a try," I reasoned after reading the positive reviews. "It wouldn't be a huge loss if they didn't work for the price. " So far, I've completed three tastings and they're all fantastic! They're simple, quick, and take up almost no room in my gear bag. It does not reduce the orifice, so you must still pour slowly and carefully, but it prevents drips and keeps the table looking tidy.
I ordered a different Wine Pourer (not this one) and was surprised to discover that the coating had worn off after only three uses! When the coating came off, what was I eating? I didn't bother to come back, but I did leave a bad review: (br>br>THIS item, "The Original Wine Disc," was EXACTLY what I needed. Very high quality, and after re-editing, it's even better. It looks brand new after ten uses of a single disc! If you don't like drips in your wine, this is a must-try!.
That, and the fact that I am the sloppiest pseudo-expert on the planet. If you're a sommelier on this side of the Languedoc, you know how to get stained shirts and shoes (always wear black around me!). When I remember to use these wine discs, they give the impression that I am a member of a well-known French wine family with roots dating back to the 15th century. My pours are so precise and perfect that I can imbibe copious amounts of the delectable entrants alongside my guests without ever appearing buzzed or seeing double. They're ideal because they're straightforward, low-tech, and make life easier.
Discs for less than 75 cents reusable. I served these to a group of 24 people at my Christmas party this year. Over white tablecloths and counters, we served red and white wine, as well as sparkling cider. There were no wine splatters on the floor. In the bottle, they have a nice appearance. If you carefully wipe away the water spots, these can be washed and reused. They're also inexpensive; a package of ten costs less than 75 cents per disc, and you can save even more if you reuse them.
Soap Dispenser is a device that allows you to put soap into a dispenser. Notice of disclaimer: I purchased these discs to use in a Patron bottle that is filled with dish soap and used as a dispenser, rather than pouring wine. They're perfect for this (though I'm sure they'd work well with wine as well). They're flexible but sturdy, and they fit perfectly in the opening of the bottle I have; they don't slip out of the container, and I've pulled mine out to clean it several times and reinserted it without difficulty. The price was reasonable, and I have extras because the package contains ten. I can't say enough about how useful this device is.
These discs are smaller than the rest of my collection, but I've discovered that size is irrelevant. These are equally effective at preventing wine from dripping down the bottle's side. These also appear to be a little thicker than my previous ones, so they should last longer. I should have bought a few packages because I have several houses and use them with each bottle of wine I open.
Once you've inserted the disc (make sure it's in the top of the bottle's opened end! ), close the bottle. ) the wine flows out of the bottle and onto the disc - The wine then slides out of the bottle and into the wine glass! Simply incredible!.
