It does not work with the drip lid. Shake it all up. You can't ask for more than that, can you? A blender bottle is what it is. Unlike most products, this one doesn't require you to look at more pictures or videos, as it is exactly as described on the product listing. This is not glitzy, nor is it fancy, just old-fashioned and working as designed. As a rule, I often find shaker balls to be a waste of time, but the ones included are quite useful. The difference between when I shake it with or without the balls is insignificant to me, but your mileage may vary, so to each their own, or however else you want to put it.
I will say, however, that the bottles do not leak and they do not drip liquid onto your nose like some other brands With its extended, round nub, the cap is not going to collect any and all liquid you shake - and when finished shaking, it won't drip on you when you want to drink. Since I forgot to put it away every time, I had to deal with a water bottle that always dripped on my nose. The fact that there is no dripping is a nice touch.
