It's hard to tell. My experience with the mat has been that no sickness has resulted from my putting different fruits on it.
There are some shallow dimples, but it's generally smooth.
Lab tests performed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission determined that they are free of PVC, lead, and phthalates.
A roll of paper does not come with it. The box that the product comes in is flat.

I was disappointed that the bar mat left an oily residue behind on my bar in the form of an imprint. Mats have small rubber nubs in the shape of small knobs. Only after repeated chemical cleanings did this stain lift, and the imprint did not fade. Using a towel I placed it between the bar and the wall A mat and bar counter top can be found at the bar.
As you can probably tell, I was drawn to it because of that, but that's the extent of my interest. Despite their thin and flimsy nature, these are extremely cheap looking. Perhaps it is okay for under a coffee maker or anywhere you might get a small amount of drips or spatters. But it won't be great for a bar and potentially a bad experience for the bartender. There is so little material on the mat that it would probably fill up with spills if you spilled your jigger. Furthermore, it is so frail that you wouldn't be able to carry it to a sink, trash can, bucket, etc. It appears counterproductive when used to its full potential. As soon as they arrived, I returned them and got thicker ones (at twice the price). I think it's basically a decent item depending on how you use it, but I'd rather spend the extra cash to get something not going to make more of a mess when I'm mixing a cocktail. Thanks for reading.
At a party, it was great to use on top of my kegerator. This is a highly recommended product.
I got these for a very low price and they work great. Soak the items in the sink so the sticky stuff is loosen up, scrub them with a sponge, and rinse them In fact, we even placed it upside-down in the top rack of the dishwasher and it came out spotless.
The bar pads were exactly like the ones I used to use when I worked at a bar. This is a great product for your home.
It is pretty big, keeps messes from happening, and is pretty simple.
I am very pleased with it. I have them in my home bar and they work well. Prevents bacteria from growing on the counters. I am so happy I bought it!.
