We have been looking for our old rabbit for a while now. Pieces of the vintage wine opener fell off left and right, causing it to crack. The photo with the silver handle can be seen in the above link. There was also a stand attached to the counter that suctioned to the surface. However, both the stand and the plastic around the lever gears and mechanism were covered in some type of soft material Yuck! I don't like that. In order to replace the broken piece, I went to Amazon There are quite a few of them! Then they all say pretty much the same thing, and if you take a closer look, you'll see that they all LOOK fairly alike. The bronze was decided to be bought This is a finished one, just to change it up. With less than five seconds, you can open a bottle, take the cork out of your hand and set it down. The opener is a powerful device and there's a lot of leverage involved when it's doing it's trick. As for the first two rabbits I bought, they were plastic and thin metal versions that are typically cheap and thin. Neither handle lasted more than six months before breaking. I began searching for one that was made with real metal and would last for a long time. It's not as sturdy as it looks. For removal of the cork, you have to grip the sides and push the handle into the cork several times until you make contact with it, then lift the lever. black round plastic "knobs" fall off, so you have to keep an eye out so that you don't lose them.
