I really don't understand why you are doing this. It would take me 3 bottles of wine to ruin this wine opener before I finally gave up. This is because there is a mechanism that doesn't work when it comes to the opening of the bottle. The wine becomes undrinkable when it is forced to the inside of the bottle by the cork. Out of the five times I have tried it, it has only worked once. This really is a waste of time. having to throw it away and purchased another brand. I was able to take pictures of the damage. We drink a lot of wine, so we eventually wear out or break the cork puller. I considered buying another Cuisinart maker after the handle of our old one snapped in half (which we did get years of use and hundreds of bottles out of). The price was much lower, and the value seemed reasonable, so we decided to try it. Despite the fact that it's made of metal, the fit and finish are nice. The operation is smooth and the parts are smoothly integrated. Now that I've opened a few dozen bottles with it, I can say that it's flawless. I have tested it only once, and it has driven smoothly into the cork. The cam mechanism to flip it over in order to extract the cork has always worked. My recommendation would not be to do so. The price and the good reviews were the reasons for selecting this one. Within a few months and about 15 minutes the batteries lasted for over an hour. After 20 uses, this device has broken and is no longer able to function. The money I spent on this was a waste. This time I will need to spend money again and I'll buy the name brand. It was very nice for the first few months, but it literally fell apart. The components are not good and the build quality is poor. Purchases that are intended as gifts should never be done unless you dislike the recipient.

When it arrived, one of the pin holders was missing. It was put together well and seemed to work well. The first time we tried pulling out the cork, no matter how many times we moved the lever up and down, it didn't work properly. As we kept trying, we released the handles and held them again until it did work. I would say it is hit and miss. It was decided to use the manual one rather than the new I have no idea how to resolve this. Years ago, I used to have a device similar to this. It was easy to use, I have never encountered any issues.
