I found it to be flimsy and It has always been the Houdini openers who are happier high-intensity A quality product. I was really surprised at how light this thing was. There is something wrong here.

It was fantastic for less than three months, but then it broke

I was able to open a real cork cork bottle with ease using this opener. Late in August 2013, I placed an order for it. The midday hour of today One day in October, I was trying to open a bottle of wine, but it broke without warning! What happened to me is still unclear to me. My whole memory is that I pushed the cutter through and was pulling it up, and all of a sudden I heard this weird pop, and it was out of the cork with a bloody cut in my little finger. There is still a cork As a result, the opener no longer works. As the coil moves in and out, in and out, in and out, the motor just keeps going. It seems as if something has broken, and I have no idea what it is. The only issue I have is that my finger is scraped and hurting and that I paid $25 dollars for something I thought would last for years instead of less than three My understanding is that this opener seems to have a warranty, but if I have to pay almost the price of the opener to have it shipped back and forth, I'm out. The next time I need to buy something, I'll be looking for a different brand.

This is a silver plastic item

A metallic silver spray paint coating is applied to plastic. (We have one of the original Houdinis that is in excellent condition. Not just a cheesy metal screw, but good quality and made of solid metal). A picture of the Houdini and the absence of written detailed description indicates that it's not something we'd like (which I probably should have payed attention to instead of thinking I can live with that for now, however, it is made from plastic. I hate it.

The world is no longer as it once was. He now has a flimsy and floppy feel to him. I broke the handle after a little more than six months! I've had it happen to me twice now, the first time I was gouged by it. While it may be fine to open most wines on an irregular basis, I would not recommend it to anyone who does so frequently.

I really like how quick and easy it is Because I like to save both the cork and top foil, especially if they are unique, it's great that it has the foil cutter. I was blown away by the ease with which the cork can easily be removed from the screw and the cork is still intact after the bottle has been opened! This is by far the best wine opener I've ever used! Open a bottle of wine in no time at all with this easy to use tool! There will never be a time when you spill wine all over your bottle.
