How Our Score Is Calculated

Questions & Answers

Is this a heavy or a light fabric?

They're quite substantial, in my opinion. It's a pleasure to embroider on this fabric. Make sure to thoroughly clean your hands.

What company makes these?

These are the heaviest, nicest towels you'll find period, according to the label on our last order, which also says India.

Is it true that these will shrink if washed?

They have not shrunk for me yet. These haven't lost their shape, distorted the embroidery design, or shrunk away from the fabric borders I've added despite being washed in hot water, rinsed in cold water, and tumble dried the majority of the time.

Have you tried using these as flat diapers yet?

These are the same size and price as the Osocozy bleached cotton (white) flat diapers available on Walmart's website; the diapers appear to be fluffier, but I'll see if there's a difference in absorbency after they've been washed and dried a few times.

Finally
5/5

Over the years, I've bought 15 to 20 different "flour sack towels," and none of them have ever lived up to the standard set by Williams Sonoma 25 years ago. Not even Williams Sonoma's new towels will suffice. The towels are well made, and they are the closest any product has ever come to meeting that standard. The hemming is neat, straight, and consistent, the hanger is of excellent quality, and I was able to remove the tag without the use of scissors. ) without causing the stitching to become messed up. The towels are enormous and extremely thick, with a smooth, wrinkle-free fabric. free. Two crucial tests are: br>br> 1) What happens to them after they're washed, and 2) Do they Actually Work As Kitchen Towels? br>br>Washing is a chore that requires a lot of time and effort. I washed the new towels alongside some towels that had been waiting to be washed in the laundry room. I used hot water, laundry detergent, and an oxyclean bleach alternative to wash the towels (chlorine bleach is difficult to come by these days). I used high heat and no dryer sheets to dry them. They didn't wrinkle, didn't shrink, and the hems were still intact and smooth when they came out of the dryer. I was blown away by it. br>br>Function is a term used to describe how something works. Everywhere in the kitchen, I use flour sack towels. Dishes to dry, countertops to dry, spills to clean up, under the dish drainer to cover yeast dough as it rises, and, most importantly, drying my hands these days. I was pleasantly surprised by how absorbent these towels were after only one wash - It dried the dishes better than most (not perfectly, but it was only one wash), it dried the countertop well, it was great for drying my hands, and it worked perfectly for covering the rising pizza crust dough. Even when folded and left on the counter, they dried quickly. I haven't yet mopped up coffee, juice, tomato sauce, or other spills, so I'm not sure how clean they'll get after a sink rinse or machine wash; however, even if they retain some stains, they're still far superior to any other towels I've bought in the last 15 years. br>br>Strongly suggested. br>br> Today, I'm going to buy some more.

DRYING TOWEL WITH A HEAVY WEIGHT
4/5

For a flour sack towel, it's quite heavy.
- This towel is ideal for drying dishes because of its size and weight.
- Using flour sack towels is a sort of vintage classic. That's a lot of fun, right? br>br>I was looking for a lighter weight white material in this size for a project I'm working on, so these didn't fit the bill, but they're still very nice drying towels. br>br>These towels are of exceptional quality and can be used for a variety of projects and crafts. They are useful for a variety of purposes, not just drying. br>There are a lot of great ideas on Pinterest, and these are the towels you'll need for them. br>br>As someone who reads reviews before making any online purchases, I'd like to contribute by sharing my personal experiences and opinions on products to help you make a more informed decision. br>br>I hope you found my review useful in some way. The towels are nice, but the fabric has a flaw every now and then
4/5

I purchased these towels with the intention of embroidering them with my machine. They are nice heavy cotton towels with a 130 thread count and are straight cut and hemmed. I'll make another purchase. br>However, I'm making these to sell, and the first towel I pulled out of the package had a flaw. I embroidered over a small hole in the weave in the area in the hopes of covering and patching the flaw, but it didn't work. br>I'm afraid I won't be able to sell this towel, but the others should be. I had hoped to track down the vendor and ask about replacing the single towel, but that was not an option for this item. The only other option was to leave a review on the website. So there you have it. br>I have photos of the flaw attached. The rest of the towels are very nice, and if I could have contacted the vendor directly, Aunt Martha's towels would have received 5 stars.

There's a frood who knows exactly where his towel is at all times
5/5

I'm not sure what happened over the years, but everything I've looked at/purchased (from Walmart to Williams-Sonoma) has become more expensive. Sonoma) has become thin and gauzy in recent years. I haven't seen a high-quality film in a long time. I had to compare it to a towel I bought 12 years ago (and still use). br>br>These towels are the closest I've ever come to finding- I've purchased a large number of items. I've used flour in the past. towels in sacks- For the past 12 years, they have been used for everything you can think of around the house, both cheap and expensive. Tip: Before the first use, wash it in a hot/cold cycle with 1 cup vinegar and then dry it in a hot/cold cycle. It'll tighten the weave even more and perform admirably. It also has a "flour sack" texture to it. Fabric softener is a no-no because it degrades the absorbency of the fabric.

Beautifully embroideres
5/5

These dish towels were purchased for a few embroidery projects that I wanted to complete as gifts. When I first got them, I was ecstatic. The material is of exceptional quality. Because of their size, I divided each towel into four sets of four, which is still plenty for use. In theory, I can make 28 dish towels from a single order. At $22 for a set of seven towels, this is a fantastic value, especially given the high quality of these towels. They wash well and have a slight 'wrinkle' to them that gives them a vintage feel. That not only looks good, but it also adds to the delicate nature of these towels. br>br>I'll definitely buy from you again. br>br>I used Tear away stabilizer on the bottom and a water soluble stabilizer on the top to embroider. This fabric was no problem for my Brother SE 440, and dare I say it was one of the easiest projects/materials my machine has ever worked with. It had a lovely thread on it. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. br>br>Attached is an example of one of the projects I've made with these towels.
