We drink at least four pots of tea per day, which is a significant factor. The teapot and tea cozy are in constant use, more or less 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. My initial reaction was that the dimensions given in the description were far too optimistic. Although it is nominally the same size as the one it replaces, it fits the tea pot much more snugly. In comparison to what is available in the UK, it also appeared to be much thinner than I would have expected. However, this proved to be of no consequence - The tea will stay warm for hours in the cosy, just like a thicker one. br>br>Of course, the cosy will need to be washed after a while, especially if it is used frequently. That was the only time we attempted it. The color changed from a bright red to a deep pink that was dull. But it didn't end there. The lining disintegrated almost completely, exposing the insulation layer. br>br>If you're only a casual tea drinker with a small teapot, this might suffice. If you're as serious about your tea as we are, you should look for something else. br>br>I'm not going to buy another one of these. We're planning a trip to England next year, and one of our first stops will be to purchase a proper tea cosy that will last for years.
This is for a two-cup and four-cup teapot. Although the handle heats up, we simply pour while wearing the cozy as a glove. It keeps the tea hot for several hours, which is truly amazing. I can have a cup of tea, run an errand, and return home to piping hot tea!.
The tea cozy was delivered in a "used" condition. We assumed it had been returned and that there had been a mix-up and it had been sent out rather than dealt with? It had a "scrubbed hard" and faded spot on the exterior. The bottom of the interior was stained with tea. We received a full refund after it was returned to us. Unfortunately, because it was a gift, asking the recipient to locate a return locker was not enjoyable.
After the steeping was finished, I just wanted to keep my glass teapot warm to hot, and my tea stayed HOT for quite some time!.
Although it is a nice item, it is a little too small for a standard size pot.
My cat chewed on my waterpik, so I bought this tea cozy to keep it safe. In that capacity, it is MAGNIFICENT. Fits perfectly over the waterpik, and the bright red complements my bathroom's ladybug drawer pulls. I'm content with myself.
I'm on my second attempt to find a tea cozy that fits my large teapot. It would have fit if it had been 12" tall! BUT it's only 11" tall! It's going back to you. br>I'm extremely dissatisfied!.
I was disappointed when I received this because the pictures were not very clear. The teaspout cannot be inserted because there is no hole in it. It simply sits on top of the teapot and does not wrap around the bottom like some others I've seen. br>br>However, it easily slips on, and instead of the pot becoming cold in 20 minutes, it lasts a few hours; I almost burned my hand on the tea pot handle about half an hour in. br>br>As an added bonus, the red color matches my kettle and pot.
