Selected User Reviews For Portmeirion Botanic Garden Tea Cosy
I bought a Portmeirion Blue Italian Tea Cozy a few years ago and loved it so much that I wanted to get another one to keep on hand while I washed the first. After looking on Amazon and other sites, it appeared that these were only available from the UK, were more expensive, and would take a long time to arrive, so I decided to try another brand of tea cozy and was very disappointed. My Portmeirion cozy appears to have spoiled me throughout the years. I understand they are more expensive, but they are well worth the investment. They're big enough to accommodate big pots, like my Bodum coffee press! They're also thick enough to keep my tea and coffee warm for an extended period of time. for at least an hour My pots are placed on a basic pot holder, then the cozy is placed on top of that. They wash beautifully, and because they shrink a little, they thicken even more. I bought this one as well as another Blue Italian because I adore them. They were also prompt in their arrival. Don't squander your cash on the low-cost options.
I read all of the reviews, but I'm not impressed with the product; I recently purchased a lovely tea set, which I use on a daily basis. I was planning on purchasing a warmer plate to keep the pot warm, but everyone recommended using a tea cosy instead. After an hour, it managed to keep my tea tepid. The color is vibrant and lovely, and it looks great on my four-year-old daughter. Teapot with 6 cup capacity. I was really hoping it would work out. I don't want to go to the trouble of returning it. So now I just need to figure out how to keep my tea warm for at least two hours. Do you have any recommendations? 3/4/2014. br>br> I'd like to make some changes to my earlier review of this item. I gave it a one-star rating and stated that it did not impress me. It's my fault, and I apologize; after reading the instruction (which I was about to throw away), I discovered that the teapot will serve me best if I pre-heat it. Warm it up before brewing the tea with hot water. The tea will stay hotter for longer as a result of this. This is something I didn't do before using the tea cosy. So, as soon as I realized this, I pre-warmed my pot with hot tap water while I waited for my kettle to heat up the tea kettle. I made my tea, covered it with a cozy, and drank it after 10 minutes. As expected, it was scorching hot. After that, I had to wait an hour for my second cup. Even though it's still hot, it's not scalding. This is fantastic. I drank my third cup two hours later. It was a nice temperature, not too hot or too cold. This is fantastic. It was warm, not tepid, after three hours. I'm overjoyed because I can enjoy it without having to reheat it in the microwave. This is exactly what I had hoped for. I'm so glad I didn't return it because I was afraid it would be too difficult. Now I can relax and enjoy my tea, which is kept warm for me by the pretty cozy. Please do not be hesitant to purchase it.
The Portmeirion Botanic Garden Tea Cozy arrived todaybr>What a wonderful gift for my daughterbr>The craftsmanship is exquisite!!br>Worth the pricebr>The fabric is beautiful and thermal to keep the tea hot. br>A wonderful present for any tea enthusiast!!.
However, it is financially worthwhile. Large enough to hold large teapots and thick enough to keep them warm for a long time.
This is a fantastic way to keep my tea hot no matter how much water is in my pitcher. I can take my time drinking my tea and still have hot tea at the end of it.
It brings a smile to your face: a cup of hot tea, a good book, and the sound of birds in the garden.
This tea cozy is one of my favorites. It's stunning and extremely well-made. But then again, Portmeirion is Portmeirion. It's quite thick and large, so it'll easily cover a large teapot. The fabric has a lovely print.
For Christmas, I bought myself a proper tea set and realized that I needed a tea cozy to keep my teapot warm. It looked great on my holiday dining room table, and it kept the tea hot for a long time!.
