I believe the batting is made of polyester. Works well for a large teapot and is easy to clean.

I haven't tried the insulating properties yet, but it shouldn't be any worse than wrapping a towel around a kettle or tea pot, and it should be easier to use. It appears that the cozy is in good condition. The card has a nice weight to it, and the image printing is excellent. According to the tag, it was made in the United States, most likely in Haverstown, Maryland. It is 100% preshrunk cotton that according to the tag is machine washable and dryable in machine washable and dryable in machine washable and dryable in machine washable and dryable in mach.
This is a lovely tea cosy, but it's flimsy. I'm not sure why anyone thinks this will keep a pot warm enough to drink from. It's as thick as a sheet of heavy flannel. I'm not sure what kind of padding or lining they used, but it's not visible. My Portmeirion Blue Italian cosy, which is super thick and structured, is what I'm used to.
I washed it as soon as I got it, and it now barely fits. It was easy to put on and take off before washing, but now it's nearly impossible. It's a very tight fit, which is difficult to achieve with a full teapot. It's quite comfortable, but I'm not sure I'll be able to use it indefinitely. I'm extremely disappointed! I also followed the washing instructions to the letter!.
This cover was exactly what I was looking for in terms of beauty. It's very beautiful. Because it isn't particularly thick, as others have pointed out, it may need to be doubled if heat is a primary concern. But when it comes to beauty, it's perfect!.
If we had a gallon-sized teapot, it would be ideal. This is a massive machine.

This is a lovely tea cozy. Because it's padded like an oven mitt, I found it to be extremely insulating. It's also large enough to cover a large teapot. I bought it primarily because the design resembles my cat, but it's also practical and attractive.
I'd always wanted a teapot cozy, so when I saw this one with the cat on it, I knew I had to have it. It's quite large, so it'll fit over most teapots. Additionally, it is well-made.
