I have no idea
I believe so, because it looks and feels like cotton fabric (except for the silver side).
Purple was not on my list of things to buy. Red was the color I chose.
They're fantastic; I'll be ordering more of them.

Purple is my favorite color. One of the main reasons I chose this set of potholders was because of this. The set had six pieces, which was another reason. I was pleased to see that the set was thick when I received it, and it was a great buy for the price. very well-made Simple to work with. are extremely resistant to heat. These potholders come highly recommended by me.
I needed some pot holders, and this one fit my budget. br>It was exactly what I had hoped for. There are higher-quality ones if you are willing to spend more money, as well as lower-quality ones. These are in the middle of the quality spectrum, which was sufficient for my needs.
These were returned due to their inability to withstand heat. My hand became uncomfortable hot within seconds after removing a pan from a 350°F oven. I sent them back and replaced them with silicone hot pads (which are fantastic).
The old ones were thick and heat resistant, but they were falling apart due to wear and tear, and I had no choice but to discard them. These new ones are very thin, and unless you fold them over to remove a pan from the oven, they provide no protection from heat. I live in Canada and placed my order in the United States (bad move!). ) I'm now stuck with faulty hot pads. I only bought them because pot holders with silver stone cloth on one side are hard to come by in Canada. I can't send them back to the US because it will be too expensive, so I'm stuck with these dreadful potholders.
Potholders for everyday cooking are a little more difficult to come by. If they're too thick or stiff, I despise them because the feeling of a secure grip is lost. For the same reason, I despise mitten and glove styles. Don't bother with the silicone waffles - It's as if you're trying to hold a pan with stiff jello in your hands. br>br>These are the old-fashioned ones. Cotton potholders that are soft and flexible enough to allow you to keep a firm grip on the pot. They've got a silver heat-resistant lining on them. fabric that is resistant to the elements It's just right.
I bought these to replace my flimsy dollar store pot holders. Potholders of good quality are difficult to come by. I thought these would be good because of the teflon-like backing, but they aren't. These are consumed in 5 seconds by extremely hot and particularly heavy pots. I wish I could find some that look as bad as my old ones but work just as well.
I'm looking for new pot holders to replace the ones I've had for the past 25 years. It was long overdue! These are the ideal size, thickness, color, and material for the job. They are not overly stiff, allowing you to easily grasp handles and edges. My husband is even pickier than I am when it comes to pot holders, but he was immediately taken with them. Bravo!.
When it was new, it was functional and looked great. The edges have a kind of polyester or plastic in them, so they've all become rough edged and tattered as a result of the heat. However, due to the dark black, this does not really show. They still work, and the deep black color of the face is still vivid black after several washes (I'm updating my review today), so I'm quite pleased with them, even with the melted edging (which I could have avoided if I hadn't held them so close to the flame).
