Since I have gotten a few doorstoppers to keep cat toys out of dressing tables and under things such as dressers, this has by far been the best I have found. There is a lot of weight on this and it should not be easily moved. I have also gotten very light ones. As it is also wider and taller than most, and there are beads inside, it is easier for it to form to the space it covers rather than just standing there hoping that it covers the hole, so it should provide better draft protection. The outside is nice and the inside is nice too The bottom of the bed has a non-slip surface to keep it in place as well. Velcro and the hook that came with it have yet to be used, but it is hard to imagine that the hook will hold it long-term, based on my experience using such hooks, but I would still buy it again if I had an opportunity.
