Questions & Answers
It is possible to place them on top of the rack, as others have done, but it is preferable to use a spacer between the rack and the wall to which it is attached. That way, the bottle's neck can sit in the front.
I believe you could if you built a shelf just above the bottom one, but it is not something I would recommend.

We have it in an unfinished basement as well, but we screwed it into the studs because I don't think it would be sturdy otherwise. The wine rack, on the other hand, is fantastic.

For the price, this is an excellent wine rack. If you're lucky, you'll get one that's been properly made and shipped. I ordered one, and it works well and holds together well after I manually bent the metal along the front and back of the unit to align it properly. I don't have it mounted on the wall, but it does a good job. I placed a second order because, when it works, it is excellent value for money. The second one, on the other hand, is so messed up that I can't fix it. The upper, center bracket that connects the front and back is misaligned to the point where both the top and bottom bolts on the back rack cannot be secured. I'm hoping that the manufacturer will send me a replacement (that works).
Ha! It can be hung on a wall, for example. We wanted to put it in our basement, which has a poured concrete floor that is notorious for not being level. Maybe it's smooth, but it's not perfectly level. Anyway, it was easy to put together, and fastening it to the wall made it very secure. It has a lot of capacity. It's even possible to keep a few magnum bottles in there.
So, I sell wine for a living and was fed up with having to store it in cases on the floor. I bought a 100 bottle stand from Sorbus, much to my roommates' delight. It's incredibly simple to put together. Perhaps ten minutes? Very steady. I've got it freestanding in the basement on a short carpet; there's no need to anchor it to the wall, though it is an option. I'll most likely buy another one in the near future! From Pinot Noir to Riesling to Cab/Merlot, almost any bottle will fit. Thank you very much, Sorbus!.
It's a standing rack that does a good job! br>br>The brackets that mount to the wall are nowhere near the spacing needed to mount into studs! Yes, the manufacturer provides means to mount into the drywall, but with significantly less stability than into studs; I chose to reinforce the mounting by adding additional bars across the back brackets, top and bottom, so that it could be mounted directly into the studs. br>In addition, there is insufficient space on the top row to place a shelf without losing a whole stud! I purchased at least 5" tall angle brackets, mounted them to the end and side frames, and added a shelf above the rack. without sacrificing a storage row!.
When I went to hang it on the wall, I noticed that the bottom braces were about 2" lower than the top of my pantry baseboard. Because the baseboard protruded about an inch from the wall, I couldn't have installed the wine rack properly without a spacer between the rack's top brace and the wall. So I went to Lowe's and bought a 2"x10"x8' board, which they cut for free to fit the 43" width of my pantry, and then stacked the wine rack on top of it. All of the braces were able to be secured to the wall directly. The rack is extremely durable and has a lot of storage space. It comes highly recommended from me! Manufacturers, please take note: Raising the height of the bottom brace by 2" would assist others installing on a wall with a baseboard if doing so did not compromise the rack's sturdiness:.
This one caught my eye because it appeared to be ideal for holding 100 bottles in a small space. I set it up on my basement carpet, and after loading the first few bottles, it was clear that it would easily hold the 100 bottles without tipping over. You won't find a better appearance or value for your money. The workmanship is excellent! I bought it for some extra storage, and I'm thinking about getting another one!.
Over is an effective technique. The product arrived on time, and when I took it out of the box, all of the parts were there. When putting the brackets together, the holes in the directions did not match the pictures. As per the directions, I needed to drill holes in the back of the rack. IE: The support bracket holes had been drilled incorrectly. After drilling new holes and putting the rack together, it functions as expected. Very strong. The shorter bottles may fall off the back of the rack, which is the only disadvantage.
It's difficult to find a better deal for the money. Even though I'm terrible at putting things together, it only took me about 15 minutes. I only used three of the six wall fasteners that came with the kit, but it's not going anywhere. I like that it's taller and narrower than most of the 100 bottle organizers; since I put it in a closet, it still leaves me with usable space on both sides. Magnums fit on the top shelf, which was a pleasant surprise; a few pinot bottles require some maneuvering, but they all fit. I am pleased with my purchase.
