Stacking the unit six high in a single column in a single column is fairly stable (I wouldn't put it higher than that without a second column next to it for additional A main reason it isn't rated higher than 5 stars is that it can't be used with cabernets or port bottles, or other bottles with tall shoulders. If the shoulders of the bottles are facing each other and are stacked, they bump into each other to prevent them from being levelled (the necks of the bottles are stacked facing each other). For those heavy, fat Burgundy and Pinot bottles, as well as long-necked rieslings and most champagnes, this device is perfect. There is nothing wrong with the shoulders just the shoulders are high. There probably are ways to work around that by mixing Cabs with Pinots, Syrahs, or Rieslings, but I prefer to store wines by varietal, so I won't put Cabs or Ports in the boxes. The second important step is to design a wheeled platform to go on the bottom of the sphere. Those bottles are located at the end of the box, but you can wheel it around to reach them. In the place I have it, I have it on the long side because it's the most accessible, but that one doesn't flip up. I would love to see a platform dolly which is sized for the platform and is strong enough to handle the weight.

I bought 3 sets to get rid of many bottles at once. I was able to drastically reduce the amount of space I took A few of the long sides bulge out slightly when the crate is full, but it does not prevent the crates from being stacked securely on top of one another. The injection molded plastic components that snap together are rather expensive for what they are (they're essentially a plastic tube that you snap together), but it's the best I could find.

crates are convenient and sturdy, and will fit most 750 ml bottle shapes with just a bit of Stacking them pretty high in my storage unit and labeling them with sticky labels makes them easy to identify, and the front opening door makes it easy to access them at any time. Even though they are pricey, especially with the shipping, I have yet to find an alternative that beats them. It may be necessary to press in the sides of the stack a bit when you stack it so it clicks They are not known to be capable of being carried from one place to another. These would be helpful in a cellar, a storage unit, or in a closet.

The wine locker space I rent provides great storage space for wines, but it's difficult to store bottles inside the locker. Wooden cases are used for bottles of wine, while cardboard boxes are used for cardboard bottles. In order to grab it, you have to reach in. It's nice to have wooden cases but their sizes are not ideal. My favorite brand is Weinbox, and I have ordered three after I heard good things and watched their All of these items arrive flat and ready to assemble, which is a breeze to do. Some cases are really sturdy, and they store more than 12 bottles. It resembles the wooden case of a champagne bottle, but it is far narrower and several times It's great that the handles are so pretty, and the flaps on both ends are such This will probably be the first of many of these I order so I can gradually replace the wooden cases I currently have.
