The medium was the right size for me. I searched for a long time to find this product on Amazon, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The neck of the object should be slanted so that a hand can easily reach inside of it. For now, I'm storing Tide pods in it. I didn't need to make it child-proof because I don't have any kids who attempt to eat the pods. As a result, I would give this product a five out of five. For the purposes of this review, just making sure it is thin enough to fit on shelves and being simple enough to throw a pod in the washing machine was all it needed.
