In the roll, the top does not sit above the rubber ball, and as you pull it out, the top emerges. As the paper roll rubs against the edge of the holder, the lower part rubs against the edge. A vertical mounting option is not available for this holder.

Paper towel holders of this quality are hard to find. My wife and I rent the apartment, so I installed the alarm system by using 3M command strips. There should be at least two large (length trimmed) and two mediums, though any combination would likely be suitable. There is no risk associated with the installation. I found it extremely easy to turn the paper towel roll in order to get a new one, and I also found it easy to tear one off. The new one is so much easier to use than my previous counter top model, and I really like the counter space and overall look of the new one. I highly recommend this book!.
As a result of my frustration, I sought a different option. Due to how, the sides of this towel dispenser are bowed out so that the paper towel can be unrolled freely under the cabinet - even when it's situated under the cabinet. Kirkland (Costco) rolls, which are slightly larger than Bounty Advanced rolls, are also available. Perhaps it would be nice if it had a bit of friction so that it is easier to operate It's a bit more difficult to tear the sheets by hand, but I'll take this over the previous paper towel dispenser.

This summer will be very busy and we expect many visitors, so I thought I would update my home in a few little ways. As part of my kitchen counters reduction goal, I got rid of as much clutter as possible. A simple paper towel holder suited our needs, but the idea of a hands-free cup stuck out to me It made more sense to choose a free, mounted dispenser, so I purchased the Prodyne Under Cabinet Paper Towel Holder. It is very easy to install. In order to mount the dispenser, I taped the paper towel holder to the wall, drilled a small guide hole for the screw, and screwed it I have this attached to both the bottom and top of a solid wood cabinet and it feels very secure. I am very pleased with how the dispenser works. It's easy to tear a section off of the roll of paper towels, and the roll doesn't seem to be in danger of coming apart.
The price is reasonable. Aside from that, it's not too bad. I've tried other options, but this is the best. I find the roll to be useful, not too ugly, and it's easy to apply and remove. It can be difficult to keep the rolls on perfectly, but they typically stay on as long as you bend the metal far inward which I prefer not to Moreover, it's not like you can do this with one hand unless you want to lose a few feet. I find it to be the best design that I've come across so far and it does the job well. There is a cheap white version with two joints that fold inward, and it is not good. I have tried things that rest vertically on the counter, but they didn't work either. We can use this.
It is in our mudroom and it was installed by my husband. This paper towel roll holder allows you to firmly yank a piece of the paper towel off and the paper towel will stay in place I like how sturdy it is. I did not take more than five minutes to install it in our mudroom. It's 13 1/8 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches high. It is ideal to install beneath cabinets. This particular piece would probably work better horizontally on a wall than vertically on a wall, but it would probably be alright vertically. The price is certainly right for this item.
As balls fall off, they eventually break. If you pull the paper towels off, then the papers don't stay in place.
Black pepper seemed to be doing something to us but we couldn't figure out what Black balls have been affixed to the counter top for the past few months but have now started to flake It wouldn't have been such a big deal, except I keep a drinking glass on the counter under the paper towels, so I have no idea how much I ingested unknowingly. We have moved it to the boat where flaking will not be an issue. I bought the Simplehuman one for the kitchen and it works well.
