Questions & Answers
Due to the fact that adhesive strips cannot be used for the mounting, they are not practical. This is *A. To make the towel holder's attachment portion more comfortable, it has a slight curve to provide adequate tension once it is In order to separate a towel from a holder when the roll is full and/or new, one must exert quite a lot of force.
As long as I mount it vertically, the towel rolls hold firmly and I can pull them off one at a time (the whole roll won't unroll at once). The space in the garage is limited, but it serves the purpose.
Ours was attached first with strong velcro and then with screws under the cabinet. There is some flexibility to the towel holder, so we are not sure how well the glue would adhere flush to If you want to glue the photo or screw it to a backing piece of wood, you may want to glue that to the fridge first and then glue or velcro that. It has a nice appearance and is much better looking than the plastic alternatives. Hope you have a great day!
Printed on metal, this paper towel holder has a white rubber seal on the side. There is a steely appearance to the item. Stainless steel will not be affected by a magnet, so it is possible that it is This product provided the amount of resistance I needed when tearing off a new paper towel that I liked and I found useful. The ends can be bent toward the center for a particular amount of resistance, and this feature is convenient.

There is no doubt that this paper towel holder is visually pleasing as other reviews and photos show. Despite appearances, we must beware of deception. A towel holder that was made of this material quickly developed two problems. (1) There is no way to lock the towel roll in place so that when you pull a towel off, you don't just drop the whole roll when pulling it. A tension is applied to both ends of the rolling mechanism by the metal frame so that the roll can be held in place. There's nothing inherently new about that design it's been around for a long time. You may pull the entire paper roll off of the wall if you install it behind your countertop, as you will likely have to reach over or around an appliance in order to reach it. A towel that has been torn off the roll can be used instead of the roll, simply by grasping it firmly with one hand The system is fool-proof, but not yet impenetrable. Since the invention of the towel roll holder 50 years ago, you'd think they'd have devised a better way of attaching the towel roll to it. (1) There is no drill template included for drilling mounting holes. The top of the holder, before mounting, is bowed/bent rather than flat (likely to provide tension to hold the towel roll in place). Because of the bowed/bent top, drilling holes to mount the holder cannot be determined easily. You can see the two screw holes moving farther apart when you begin to tighten down the mounting screws because the top of the holder flattens out as you tighten down the screws. You might want to have one person press the rack into place while another drills the holes or marks the area with a pencil. There's no way I can tell you. However, I had to try several times before I was able to drill the holes in the right places. It was necessary to repair a couple holes that were drilled incorrectly a couple of times. As opposed to purchasing the first highly rated stainless steel holder I happened upon, I wish I'd done my research and considered more options instead of buying the first product I came across. Given its price, and considering the high reviews, I was expecting to be pleasantly surprised by quality features such as the clever design, ease of mounting, and ability to hold rolls securely. There was no evidence that any of these were correct. If you drill holes into your wall or cabinet to accommodate this particular holder, of course. There is no easy way to switch over to another * You are more or less stuck with your choice. I added the following on The dinosaur from the past is now so worthless I've given up on it after a couple of weeks of use. I am throwing it away and removing it. My best attempts fail to keep the roll on the roll regardless of how hard I work. The worst time to have this happen is usually right before the election. We keep paper towels in the kitchen for when I am busy cooking or after dirtying my hands (reason why I always have paper towels). In addition to the one I ordered for a bit more money, this one looks nice and seems to be in line with my needs A towel storage cabinet (1) mounts securely on a wall / under cabinet using screws, and (2) has locks to prevent towel rolls from falling out. My review will be based on my experience once it is up and running. You can check it out here This simplehuman towel holder is made out of stainless steel.
Spending money on something that is a waste. The problem is not with the paper towel as I use name brand paper towels. New rolls don't turn when I put them in because the are too tight. As soon as you get down to a half-hour With a used roll, it completely falls out of the holder when a sheet is pulled. I am always adjusting the roll to keep it in the holder and it is half out most of the time. When I bend it, it makes it tighter (but refer to "too-tight" I also mentioned the "tight" comment in my review), but then the roll does nothing. I find the design to be a disaster. Spending money on something that is a waste. When I had that cheap plastic one before, it worked just fine. What an awful thing to happen.
A larger roll of paper towels did not fit into this paper towel holder and was returned promptly. The roll will fit, but will not spin, so you will need to arrange it manually.
The original headline for my review was "It looks nice, but it's too tight. ". . . My original review read I love the design of this paper towel holder, but it holds the paper towel rolls too tightly. The paper towel roll has been used most of the time, and I thought it would only be a problem when the roll is new and thin. However, once it has been used most of the time, it is still held too tightly Though it is kind of annoying, I think I'll leave it in as we will probably use fewer paper towels if it does this. In the 'Edit' Paperboard tube in the middle of the paper towel roll was bending inwards so it was pressing against the knob on one end of the towel holder when I bent it accidentally. When I tried to turn the paper towel, it felt really tight. This time, I was able to insert a second roll of paper towel after I bent the paperboard tube the first time around, and now the rolls are turning smoothly and easily, even if the paper towel roll is brand new and fat.
That's not good at all. This is a very cheaply made, rather flimsy product. The dispenser is not designed to hold paper towel rolls that are jumbo in size. For me, this is of no use. A throw out is a lot easier than a This is not worth the time or money you will spend on it.
It has been going well so far! The color is true to the picture. Our new display was just put up today, and we haven't used it much yet, but we are pleased with it. We have no issues with Costco-sized rolls, and the holder is barely visible, so we don't have an issue with it being an eyesore. Thanks for the vertical install, I don't have to use the paper towel holder on the counter anymore! There used to be a constant stream of paper towels on the old one and often, they would almost fall This is no longer true! We will post an update if any issues arise. Note that we did not mount the device to a stud, but rather mounted on the drywall using the screws and anchors provided. Here are some tools you will need Screwdriver that has a Phillips head and hammer. Drill, drill bit, drill bit, drill, hammer.
The price and material of the product made me believe I would get a good towel holder. I was wrong! Once I have used a few towels from a big roll, I can't keep the towel roll on the thing. With time, the towel roll shrinks, so I sometimes unwind around 8 to 10 inches with a quick jerk as I try to pull it off There is one on the I can't borrow towels, since I have to return all of them. There have been times when towels have been wasted when unwinding ended up in dishwater or when the whole stuff went into the fridge Left roll falls to the ground. It's sunk into a sink The thing I hate is this. There needs to be a lock in order to hold the towel in place. A new towel holder is on the way.
It's metal, so you can bend the arms a little to get just the right tension on your favorite paper towel brand. Like most people, I was thinking of mounting mine under the cabinet, but toaster paper towels hang down over the toaster, and that's a good way to burn down your house! Taking a look at the photos, you can see I mounted mine inside the cabinet. With the square over the edge of my cabinet, I can snap it off. I can hide the end of the roll out of sight when I have guests coming over. easy-to-install device is simple to use. There is no need for Then mark the location of the holes with a pencil as you hold the item up to where you wish to mount it. Make sure that you don't over drill your holes by sticking a piece of tape on the drill bit at the right depth. The holder is large enough to accommodate Bounty and other large rolls of paper towels. With this holder, I know it will last a lot longer than an ordinary plastic one.
