You must first determine the size of the opening in the kitchen cabinet wall and ensure that it is at least half-sized. a half-inch on each side, for example Opening size: 20 x 6, shelf size: up to 19 x 5.
The metal shelf is rusting a little bit. If you get the metal, I recommend treating it first before putting it in. I can see how a plastic shelf would easily crack given the amount of use. It would be better if it was rubberized in some way.
So far, I haven't noticed any rust.
The tray can be easily removed because it is not attached to the hinges.

HINGES ARE NOT INCLUDED. This type of product has been installed by me at a big box store called Rev-A-Shelf. Kits for the shelves. They all had hinges, so I assumed that was the case with this order. HINGES ARE NOT INCLUDED. However, it is stated that way in the seller's defense. ASS U ME! Aside from that, it's a good solid product, and the stainless steel will keep it from rusting. It is a little difficult to install, as usual, but follow the instructions that come with the hinges when you order them.
To make use of the normally "dead space" behind the false cabinet door in front of the kitchen or bathroom sink, simply make a small, tip-out tray. All that's required are a couple of cabinet hinges for the false door's bottom, one of these handy metal boxes, and something to stop the new tip out shelf from moving forward (a chain, a special stop-stop device). hinge, or a crossbar that is held in place by the cabinet frame). All you'll need is a screwdriver and a small drill for pilot holes, if they're even necessary. br>br>This stainless steel (SS) box, which is attached to the back of the false door with two SS wood screws, serves as a handy tray for sponges, nail brushes, and other small items. The hinges allow the false cabinet door to tilt forward, revealing the SS box's open top for storage. Instead of using a thick metal cross, I chose to use a thin metal cross. a bar that extends wider than the drawer frame and is attached to the back of the box with two small SS bolts and nuts to form a simple stop to prevent the contents of the box from spilling onto the floor This 30- The quick DIY project works perfectly and blends in seamlessly with the cabinet design. It comes highly recommended!.
It was exactly as described! It was/is now possible to use the 'dead space' in front of the sink. Please keep in mind that the hinges must be purchased separately. There are various types, brands, and styles, but they should all work with standard cabinetry. Just make sure there's enough room on the sides of the tray to install the hinges.
I've always wondered why the fake drawers in front of the sink didn't have a little storage pocket built in. It's a lot easier to do now. The YouTube video demonstrates how to quickly and easily remove the false fronts and convert them to actual storage space. I now have a great place to store my scrub brushes and drain plugs that is out of the way but not buried in a large cabinet. In addition, steel is more durable than plastic. It's a huge improvement over the plastic shelf inserts. It's simple to set up and maintain.
Our new cabinetry under the sink is the perfect size for this. I like that I can keep my dish brush here instead of having to leave it out in the open. Because the screws are a little long, double-check the length before drilling into your cabinet front!.
Installing takes some time, but following the instructions provided by another reviewer made the process go more smoothly. When paired with a soft-toned It's great to have close hinges.
I used shelf liner to keep it from rusting if any wet items were placed inside. The only issue is that, due to the clearance, hinges, and size of the tray, a regular sized dish sponge will not fit.
You should keep in mind that the hinges are quite large and will dictate where the shelf will be placed. I would have ordered a smaller shelf so it could go lower and hold larger items if I had known this before ordering. br>br>Apart from that, it's a fantastic product, albeit difficult to set up. I wish it had included a template or something similar to aid in this process.
