Bamboo is the material used for the entire piece. There is not one scrap of laminate or pressboard to be found. This is a very high-quality product. Quite good value for the money. My kitchen looks so much better with this exquisite piece of art!
You can buy rubber stoppers and put them on yourself, but I don't know how they work. I like the tray very much.
