It's true! The one I had was plastic and I trimmed it down, but it looked tacky and it wasn't One of the best drawer organizers on the market. It is smart, beautiful, and deeper than most. I have been using another type of organizer for more than a decade and hate Despite being too small, too short, and too everything, it was really not very good. I loaded it with my brand new flatware which also fits nicely in the 8" slot. It stays where it's put and looks nice. I wiped it out and it looked nice. If it becomes unstable, as bamboo sometimes does, I may varnish it with salad bowl varnish. But for the next few years, I do not anticipate any problems. It is a wonderful product! There is plenty of room in this apartment! Our silverware tray needed to be wider when we moved. Two sets of silverware with different designs are in my possession. Due to the fact that not all of them fit in my old organizer, I used to hide one set. There's room for two sets and more in this one! My drawer makes perfect sense when I put it in there! I'm not sure if I have it flushed all the way down, but there is a little space on top so it still moves. The bottom is supposed to have a rubber stopper, but there is a little room on top. I apologize if that was my mistake. I was not making use of the two extra dividers that came with it. I only had to put it in one of the slots because it blended perfectly so I did not have an issue using it. My overall experience with my purchase has been positive. The price is a bit higher than your typical plastic silverware organizer, but the organizer is well worth the price. It's a Prime eligible product for me, since I have a Prime membership. It is important to note that delivery is not immediate. Though it may have taken some time, the wait was worth it.

After buying one of these trays, I liked it so much that I bought another one. I am pleased with the way they are made, the way they look, and most importantly, how they fit in my small kitchen cabinet There was only one other tray made of wire mesh that would fit vertically in my space on Amazon, and it was made of plastic. That wood was a good choice for me. It was difficult to order my second one as apparently it was temporarily out of stock, but I was able to get in touch with "Bec" at Pristine Bamboo's customer service. Five stars.

There is not enough room for the teaspoons in the slot. Despite their standard size in length, my teaspoons have to be slanted and sideways in the slot because it is too small, and there aren't too many that can fit within it. As the slant of the longer section is a little wider than the slot for the teaspoon, the teaspoon is taken away. Measurements on everything else were accurate, but this was the only part that disappointed me. It would be perfect if they further extended that slot by half an inch. I think that would be the only change they could make.
