Despite its nice appearance, I was disappointed to discover that it was not made from bamboo like the sides, but from some sort This isn't as durable as bamboo, so it will soon be cut and scraped off. I tried to avoid plastic and adhesives as well, since they both become damaged over time. In order for the tray to fit into my 13 1/4" wide drawer, I removed one slide-out side. In the event that I need to use it in a wider drawer, I can pull it apart again. The reason I bought it was because I thought it was 100% bamboo however, I feel I should have gotten a cheaper brand since neither of the slides are useful to me.
