A compact wine refrigerator that functions very well can handle any kind of wine effortlessly (it maintains the ideal temperature and is Only downside is that the shelves are only designed to hold bottles of Bordeaux style. Any shelving width greater than 31 inches allows you to only have 4 bottles per shelf instead of 5. Also worth noting that although I ordered the 33 bottle dual zone model (through Amazon), I was sent the 34 bottle single zone model instead. The shelf can hold no more than 28 bottles due to shelf limitations.

For over 30 years we have had freestanding wine coolers and built-in wine coolers. When we lived in our old home, we had a good, single zone Frigidaire. Our family just moved to a new home, and now we need a free stand alone unit that fits a space we want to place it in. The only unit that fit our measurements was this single zone because we drink red wines. A dual zone unit would have been preferable, but this unit was the only one we could afford. It was because the specs on Amazon fit our needs that we decided to purchase it. Although the specs do not mention how much clearance the manufacturer specifies on the side and back is needed, it does say that clearance is There is no problem with the side limits, but the back one is not. Be sure to check this out before buying. It is the red one that is supposed to be adapable from 56 to 120 inches, but we cannot get it to work The upper zone is 41-64F, and the lower zone is 41-64F A 57F temperature. It is not easy to make a good adjustment if your reds are at 60. You could even set both zones at their top limits, and try to find Our goal was to get a temperature between 57 and 62 so we set the settings at these numbers. In summary it is a crap shoot when setting the temperature for single zones.

Since I've had it for about a week, it's been very useful for me. It is compact, noiseless, has excellent cooling abilities, and can be operated with one hand, a large keypad, or two The bottom compartment of the bottle is equipped with a temp feature that lets you store beer and other soft drinks. Make sure you leave it unplugged/open the first few days before using it, and then plug it in the second time once the smell has cleared In addition, if you have very long bottles (like some of the ones I have from Napa wineries), you may have difficulties fitting those in, but other than that, the system works well.

The whole thing has been a pretty big letdown for me. A stable temperature is one of the most important factors when it comes to storing wine in good conditions. My fridge has been here for two months now, and I've come to terms with the fact that the product doesn't fulfill its purpose. Even though I keep the top zone at 58 degrees, I see the temperature change every time I look at it. I would find it less frustrating if the fluctuation was no more than 3 degrees and only occurred once or twice a day since this is an acceptable temperature fluctuation for wine storage, but the thing will hit 52 on occasion and is usually in the 53-54 range. This means it will bounce between the lows of 58 and the highs of 74 numerous times a day, so I'm pretty concerned staying in my nicer bottles. It is also important for wine storage to be vibration free, which this fridge does not provide. When the compressor kicks on, the fridge shakes to the point that you can hear bottles tapping against one another along with a high pitch that I can hear constantly and fear will make me go Likewise, the quality of the craftsmanship isn't great. It was somewhat annoying to find that one of the wine fridge's shelves was not bent properly, leaving a bottle tilted upward. While more of a cosmetic issue than anything, given the price tag for a relatively small wine refrigerator, it is still aggravating. Besides being a great source of heat in my home, the only significant thing I can say about it is that it has an attractive appearance. Additionally, the product has done an okay job of preventing moisture buildup, but not an outstanding one since I have already noticed a few bottles with label issues because of accumulation after only two months. The only use I see for this product is if you consume wine quickly and are looking for a way to keep it at a reasonable temperature for drinking. Other than that, I can't recommend it if you intend to store wine for any period of time. If I had a second chance, I would return mine and get something that is more stable, quieter and with fewer vibrations.

Shipping guidelines from Amazon allowed the package to arrive on time. The packaging design was excellent to ensure not only easy unpacking, but also no damage to the product. During the three hours prior to plugging in, the unit was upright and allowed to rest for three hours. It took only a few minutes to cool the top and bottom down. It is possible to hear the compressor turning on periodically, but it is I would like to point out a few things There is almost a mirror-like finish to the front door glass. Not something I anticipated from the description, but it looks good. The door is not reversible and the hinge side is to the right when you look at it from the front.

I received the wine cooler on December 18th without any noticeable damage to the outer packaging. We discovered that the unit's door was off the lower hinge when we unpacked it. The door of the tool box was ajar, and two washers were lying on the styrofoam packing. In order to reinstall the door with the two washers added to the pins, the door needs to be rehung from the lower hinge. Initially, the unit was running fine, but as soon as we turned it on today (12/28) the compressor shut down immediately. You could see the temperature rising as the temperature indicator remained on. In order to turn the unit back on again, we unplugged it, waited about 30 seconds, then connected it again. The device seems to be working well at the moment. If it continues to work correctly, we will definitely give it a five-star rating.
