It got a lot of The best thing about this sandwich maker is that it makes one sandwich at a time. I went to make a next and the control panel would not work. Since the next few sandwiches were cooked immediately, it seemed to have been set on a very high heat. is extremely hot on the outside. I had a loaf of bread a few inches away from the unit and the plastic started to melt. This is not a device I could let my children use. Also, it doesn't come with a spatula designed to scrape off grease from the surface of the press like many do, so you cannot clean it off when grease gets on it. In order to clean the surface you need a rag or paper towel, as it's too hot to use that type of paper towel. Having to return this junk is now a source of frustration. The only thing I'm happy about is it wasn't a gift.

My first reason for purchasing this grill press was that I enjoy eating meat, but I had never cooked much meat before purchasing it. To maintain a healthy diet, I now use it to prepare fish and steak. It is a better alternative to using a stove for cooking, therefore I don't use it very often.

With regards to the price, it in the $40-$50 range. An Ovente grill press starts at $50, which is the starting price for a decent grill With the Ovente press, there is an extra feature of a timer and electronic/button controls compared to the Cuisinart, Breville or Foreman presses Particularly with the premium models, it is missing the timer, which is included on less expensive models. At the end of the countdown, the timer automatically turns off the grill press. Another reason you may find this useful is if you are not in the kitchen or doing something else at the same time. This feature is not present on competitor products that cost twice as much. As for cleaning, that is also quite easy. It is impossible to submerge the grill because there are electronic components that should not be submerged (The timer, buttons, screen, internals, etc. ), but there is a brush included with each grill that makes cleaning easier. Grab your dish soap, get to it with the brush, and wipe it all off using Bounty tissues. Easy to do. Despite the fact that this equipment is relatively new, there are no real downsides. There is no instruction manual for this press, which can be frustrating for new users since you have to guess what temperature to use. There was no information on the manufacturer's website regarding which temperature is appropriate to use when cooking sandwiches, meats, fish, and vegetables. I downloaded the user manual and printed it, but it did not provide any guidance. There are bound to be some guesses, so expect some confusion. 275o is the temperature where I cook my sandwiches, and they grill well. There are, however, some types of bread that are less likely to brown and soften. To ensure the sandwiches are safe to eat, let them rest for about five minutes after making them so that the centers can cool down. The flat bread is my favorite bread to use, since it browns the best, and I can use only one flatbread to make two sandwiches. When lowering the top of a thick sandwich, you will have to lower it gradually to avoid sliding the top bread slices and other ingredients aside. I have also used this grill for grilling hamburgers and bacon. That seemed to work fine, but I was disappointed that the grease did not drain into the drip container as I expected. Even with the scraper brush, it took a while to clean up. There is no need to hand wash the scraper brush. For the sake of preventing warping, I place mine at the top of the rack. My favorite quality of these bristles is that they don't stain even when I use barbecue sauce. The control panel needs to be kept clean by not getting any food or liquid on it. It hasn't caused any problems with the electronics so far when I clean it with a damp paper towel. It has been a month since I purchased this machine, and I have not experienced any error codes or shutdowns as reported by other reviewers. I love that it starts with a timer but shuts off automatically The mechanism is turned off. I like that it is compact and does not take up the whole counter since it does not take up my whole space. In addition, I like how light it is, for moving the press from one place to another. Several family members use this press frequently. We love how quick and easy it is to use as we are able to use it to make a variety of bread sandwiches. In addition, it has resulted in a substantial reduction of our fast food expenses. Overall, I give this panini press four stars out of five. Because of the absence of cooking instructions, I gave it 75 out of 5. Make sure you don't throw your money away. We received a copy of Panini Press Despite beeping, the light does not turn red, and it does not heat up. There are better products that work great for the same price that work just as well if not better. I tried every temperature and even left it for 15 minutes hoping it would get warm, but it didn't. Don't waste your money on this there are better products that work better.

Although the cheese was melting and was coming out of the bread, the bread itself was not browned or cooked in any way. Unless you want your meat to sit in juices and not be able to clean it, do not try to use it as a grill. The draining spout is not tilted towards the draining spout, but rather has a negative slant. Due to the fixed nature of the plates, you cannot properly clean them. While I cannot recommend the device, one redeeming feature is the accurate temperature gauge that helps you to ensure your food should cook thoroughly within a relatively short amount of time. The top plate does not seem to get as hot as the bottom plate.
