Questions & Answers

The oil has to be used for this or does it not have to be used at all?

The use of oil has made a significant difference in my skin. The kernels should be popped thoroughly more often. The second line of the container is filled with 1 and the first line with 2. The oil is made of five tablespoons of canola To ensure that every kernel in the oil gets wet, I stir it around. Lastly, I place the Hot Pop in the microwave for 2 minutes and 35 seconds. I then add course sea salt to each transfer as I do so until I have completely transferred the popcorn to the salad bowl. Once I have completed the transfer, I add another pinch of sea salt to each portion. It's been 6 months since I got my Hot Pop, and I eat popcorn nearly every day. There have been no damages to the container so far. Honestly, this is the best tasting popcorn I have ever had! The price per bag is $5). It is just bags of whole kernel popcorn that I buy. It is Orville Redenbacher that pops the best for me, but they are all I believe that all of you should go online and check out the health benefits of popcorn! You may never buy corn or Fiber content alone has me interested in it! I'm a fitness buff and this product is awesome! We wish you a very happy new year!

How does the lid differ from the bowl? I assume it is made of silicone, but what is it What is plastic? Do you prefer silicon or plastic?

As with the lid, it is made of silicon. I really like this Everything I have tried has worked perfectly!

When the popcorn has popped, how much do you have?

There is about a third of a cup of pop, so it pops around There are 3 tablespoons in this recipe. To give you a sense of comparison, a large/standard bag of microwave popcorn contains approximately 4 tablespoons. However, since Hotpop leaves far fewer unpopped kernels than bagged popcorn, the volume of cooked popcorn is probably quite a bit greater than is apparent from its raw difference. It is roughly equivalent to three large microwaveable bags to prepare two batches in the Hotpop.

Your microwave must have a power output of how many watts?

What matters is not what matters to me. My power output is 1000 watts and if yours is lower you might just leave it on for a longer time.

It has been converted into a bonafide popcorn snob
5/5

Popcorn is a food group according to me. My obsession with it is so bad, I grow it from seed stock I got from a hippie who perfected it over a period of 20 years to grow perfectly in my micro-climate It's the weather. Yes, that's what I said. As a popcorn lover, I'm a huge fan. Since I was a child, I've been making my own spaghetti sauce on the stove with olive oil and a saucepan. There is a great deal of danger involved There have been more than a few times when I have nearly set my kitchen on fire. I love to explain the scorch marks to my husband in a way that makes me sound like I can handle the kitchen on my own. Thus, I gave this a try in a bid to save my marriage and my house. Although I was sceptical that this program would work, it proved to be a great success If my father worked for me, he would be happy. In reality, however, it's As far as I am concerned You can do this on the stovetop, though it would be better to do it that way. I don't quite get my timing down right, so I end up with about 15% old maids when I pop the popcorn. Moreover, my microwave is possessed by the spirit of an old disgruntled man who cannot be expected to do anything in a timely manner, never moves to let you pass on the highway, and has named his last three dogs Bob and I don't think this silicone gizmo has any fault with Bob III, so that probably isn't the silicone gizmo's fault.

Pros The *br*- Popcorn that is tender and tasty-- A simple method to clean* - I won't have to spend money on a divorce lawyer - Color is a pretty teal*- My relationship with the local firefighters is no longer on a first name basis

Cons The *br*- There may be some old maids to blame, my microwave for sure. My relationship with the local firefighters is no longer on a first name basis.

It's impossible for me to stop eating popcorn
5/5

In addition, by far the best popcorn maker I have used so far. I prefer not to microwave popcorn (too greasy), I do not like one bag of good popped popcorn, and hauling out my West Bend Stir Crazy is too tiring. After measuring out a quarter cup of kernels, and stirring in a teaspoon of peanut oil, I place the popcorn in the microwave on the "popcorn" setting. I have experimented and it works beautifully on our microwave - thanks to another reviewer's suggestion. It turns out that the kernels did not burn and only a few unpopped ones remain. It's easy to clean All you need is a sponge and some soap. Silicone rubber makes the popper flexible and folds/compacts into a quarter the height you see in the picture, so it does not take up a lot of space when stored. This is something I'll be buying for several members of my family.

The best invention ever
5/5

I am in awe of this thing The ball. It's microwave popcorn without all the bad salt and sugar I hate you. This desk is collapsible as well. You start at their first line with a quarter cup of popcorn, so there are about five and a half cups The perfect amount of fluffy popcorn for a 1/2 cup serving. Additionally, I made popcorn with 1 tbsp of kernels, which yielded 2 cups. One ounce sizes are perfect. I had a lot of unpopped kernels at the bottom of the bowl my first time I used the 1/4c, but I scooped out the popcorn and returned the bowl to the unpopped kernels and obtained the other ounce size. One and a half cups If you use premium kernels, you will get crisp, fluffy popcorn. If you don't want to use oil, feel free to use a tiny bit. As part of my experiment, I put all sorts of oils and no oils in a bowl, as well as refined and unrefined coconut oil. Every version of the dough was the same in terms of fluffiness and crispiness. best tasting type of oil was the organic virgin unrefined coconut oil for its nutty flavor and the no oil plain oil. In another bowl you can eat plain or add butter, salt, flavoring etc. but it will still be lower in sodium than microwave popcorn purchased at stores. After three bowls got burned, I made four more back to back and none It was very helpful to listen to the pops slow down while they were playing. For my microwave with I believe 1100 watts, it takes about 3 minutes to cook a meal. The following are the five digits The timer counts down to 4 minutes.

Getting more than one tub out of the water at a time is quick and easy, but the hand holds get really hot
4/5

This tub works best at 2 I have a Panasonic microwave of 1250 watts and find it working well there On the timer at full power, there are 50 seconds left. Unpopped kernels amounting to about 3 tablespoons. The kernels that have not yet popped can be put back in for a minute or two after the ones that have already popped have been removed. If I just extended the cooking time, would that work? Although I haven't tried it, I think the popped kernels might open up to burning. Because I do not use oil, that would defeat the purpose for which I bought it in the first place. While I don't understand why all my kernels don't pop within the original time frame, I'm willing to live with the wasted kernels since using this product is really easy, hassle-free, and I only need to wipe the insides with a paper towel afterward. 99% of the Jolly Time kernels can be popped with 3 Tbsp of oil. Following seeing a number of 1 Star reviews, I am not trusting customer reviews and am suspicious that some reviewers purposefully fabricate sabotage reviews or false reviews for reasons that I don't understand. This tub performs reasonably well and does not burn the popcorn when used as directed and following the advice to do successful test runs in the microwave one owns to determine the length of time to microwavable. The majority of people can set their timer for 3 minutes or 3 minutes plus 15 seconds, and then stand by, watching for signs that the kernels have pretty much stopped popping, and subtracting the time left from their starting time to establish the optimum time in the future to set the timer. A pop lapse is considered sufficient when it reaches three It's time to open the door and take the tub out after 5 seconds of silence. One was left out of each group at that point The remaining 2 tsp will not be popped. As I mentioned previously, I was surprised to see how hot the HOTPOP tub gets (on the handles as well as on If you pop more than one tub in succession, it gets too hot to handle without pot holders. After one tub is popped, it is manageable, but if you pop another, the handles become too hot to handle without pot holders. In this case, some ingredient in the silicone chemical composition is undergoing a reaction to microwaves and causing the tub to heat up when they are used. It can sometimes be noticed when heating things in glass cookware, such as Corningware bowls, after microwaving. The HOTPOP bowl could be harmful to health, but I suspect it is unaffected since I don't believe it can transfer the contents of the bowl to the hot popcorn since the popcorn is heated in a dry environment and no oils melt from the bowl Since I owned a restaurant back in the day, I was and am always being conscious of food safety (avoid using aluminum cookware in particular, since the jury is out on whether aluminum can leach into liquids when cooked with acidic ingredients such as tomatoes). I do not cook in anything other than stainless steel if it is not stainless steel. I believe that this is a safe product to use when it comes to a product like this one. It seems that other reviewers complain that the pinch test fails to determine whether a product As I read reviews for every brand of competing microwave popping tubs, I found plenty of comments claiming that the pinch test revealed that the products contained extraneous food ingredients. I am not convinced that is the absolute barometer one should use when judging all the competing brands. Silica is a component of silicon. This point does not seem right to me. It would seem that no matter what the manufacturers claim or how the reviewers portray it, the pinch test is of no real relevance. I think if the manufacturers don't prove it through destruction testing, it is of no value. Last but not least, we should be cognizant of the fact that silicone breast implants have been proven to be extremely hazardous to the health of women who have had silicone leak into their system as a result of As such, who is to say whether it is safe in a situation like one of using All of this is false noise and I will be entirely comfortable with this popper or with other brands that are most popular on the market at the moment.
Thank you for reading this review, I apologize for going off on a tangent, but these are some of the thoughts that came to my mind when deciding what to share, that you might find useful or useful There's another thing going on for me I'm in a tizzy.

Cynic praise for the project
5/5

After seeing all five of them, I was amazed After reading the HOTPOP corn popper reviews, I said to myself, "Well, it's probably not going to happen. ". But it was so reasonably priced that I thought I would take a chance since I had little Honestly, I was surprised to learn that all those reviewers were telling the truth. My first visit to use this product was today and I was extremely pleased with the results. The one-dollar bill A quarter cup of kernels, about 3 minutes in the microwave, and I had perfectly popped popcorn with only a half It is a product I would highly recommend.
