Yes, you can put oil in it; I don't think it will melt or damage the container. When I make popcorn, I use oil to help the seasoning stick. Seasoning simply slides off and collects at the bottom of the air-popped version (no oil). I can use any seasoning I want when I cook with oil. When the popcorn is already popped, I add the seasoning.
In the instructions that came with the thermometer, calibration is discussed. If you require additional information, I recommend contacting the company directly.
I'm not sure why it's referred to as a "wine opener." " It's a beer bottle opener, in my opinion." By the way, I've used it a few times and find it to be very useful. I'd recommend calibrating it before using it for the first time, as ours was off by about 2 degrees Fahrenheit.
Yes, I am.

I intended to give this a five-star review on my own, but thanks to a gift card from the company, I was able to do so sooner. As a Christmas present, I got this for my mother. I gave it to her ahead of time because I was excited to try it when I went to see her. It was so simple with the first batch. We both enjoyed it because it was just right. We weighed the popcorn, sprinkled it with salt, and covered it with the lid. I heated it up in the microwave. We kept an ear out for the pops. I declared it finished. The butter was then added. Mom has been using it every evening since then, abandoning her previous microwave popcorn packages. I went on to order a few more to give as gifts. I'm keeping one. NOTE: This company's bowls have small handles on them. They're extremely important! I ordered a bowl from another company that didn't have any handles. It is extremely difficult to cope with. We also prefer to pour our popcorn into a more sturdy bowl that we can hold in our laps. Silicone that has been heated is brittle. Enjoy!.
It appeals to me greatly. It's a million times better than bagged popcorn, and it's insanely easy to make. MUCH BETTER THAN POPCORN FROM THE MUSICAL THEATER! It's also a lot faster and easier than making popcorn in a pot on the stove or with a popcorn maker. I also like how many different colors you have to choose from! Because the silicone is so thin, it's a bit more difficult to clean. It has a lot of flops and folds. However, that is the only drawback!! I used 1/4 cup kernels and 1 tablespoon canola oil. salt, 1/8 tsp After that, add salt and melted butter, and it will simply melt in your mouth. I'm not sure why it's so much better than the alternatives, but it's incredible! I WILL NEVER COOK OR EAT POPCORN IN ANY OTHER WAY AGAIN.
This was purchased as a gift for a gardener who grows his or her own popcorn. Did you know that you can microwave an ear of popcorn in a paper bag to make it pop? You can, but it requires a large number of paper bags, and if something goes wrong, the paper bag will begin to smoke. This isn't good. br>br>The problem has been solved by this little darling. It will pop both fresh and store-bought popcorn. Purchased successfully, and ate with gusto. It was also available in her favorite color. She says she "really likes it" and that the "folding up" feature is "extremely convenient. " "br>br>I'd describe the silicone as thin, but it collapses easily. It's perfectly fine once it's been un-wrapped. The building came crashing down.
This corn popper is quite nice. I ended up with the black one. Love it. I used to have a different brand of popcorn that would frequently leave several kernels unpopped, was easy to burn, and was extremely hot to the touch. This popper is made of silicone and does not become hot to the touch after popping, making it extremely safe to use. This usually only leaves a few kernels unpopped, and the popped kernels are fluffier than with the previous popper. It folds up into itself for storage and then stands about 2" tall, taking up very little space. The lid is made of silicone. Yes, it's a keeper, and I strongly suggest it. Complete disclaimer: In exchange for writing a review, the seller offered us a small gift card. Regardless of whether or not I received a gift, this is my honest opinion.
This device is very useful to me. It appeals to me greatly. I buy gourmet popcorn at a nearby co-op. op & Unpopped kernels are virtually eliminated with the Fenvella popper. I won't have to wash another bowl because I'll be serving with the popper. Clean- Even if I used different flavorings added directly to the unpopped kernels before microwaving, the silicone construction makes clean-up a breeze - a delightful spicy, which comes with the recipe booklet, is a hit! Because my kitchen is small, the collapsible storage feature is a welcome addition to my limited cupboard space. My microwave isn't particularly large, but the Fenvella easily fits into the cooking chamber, especially in terms of height. In contrast to other models I've tried, this one is wise. It's all good as soon as you put in about 2 minutes of minimal effort. The only drawback is that the popcorn disappears so quickly that I have to make two batches most of the time.
I decided to try this after hearing about it from a friend. AMAZING! It's a cheap and easy way to pop popcorn without having to deal with bulky popping devices that take up counter space and require extra attention. This popper is made of silicon and collapses for easy storage. The top isn't attached to the interior, but it does rest lightly inside. In the bottom of the pan, I put butter and oil. It's easy to burn popcorn if you don't follow the instructions carefully. It may take some trial and error, but you'll eventually figure out how to use your microwave with it. It says not to use more than 1/4 cup of popcorn - That should be taken seriously. I didn't try any more, but I'm confident that any more would be a waste of time given my learning curve. I got purple popcorn from Simply Organic at my local supermarket. Strongly suggested - For ten dollars, this is a fantastic deal. It's also dishwasher-safe.
When it comes to meats, we usually use the oven's built-in probe. The convenience of a small, portable device that allows for instant reading is, however, greatly appreciated. br>br>For tempering chocolate, I've used a variety of thermometers, each with its own set of issues. Candy thermometers can't handle the low temperatures, complex meat thermometers want to set alarm ranges for meat that are difficult to override, and other designs get coated in chocolate and become unreadable. So it was time to try something different. br>br> br>br>So far, we've done the following: a) tested it against ice and boiling water and found it to be accurate; br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br br>b) we tested it in meat and compared it to the oven probe and found that they were both accurate. br>c) we used it on the outdoor grill to make sure our chicken was cooked to perfection. br>br>From this, we can see that the small probe will be far easier to use and read than either my current candy thermometer (which gets encased in chocolate and becomes unreadable) or my old long lead cables that connected to an unusable meat thermometer. br>br>Not only were the instructions clear, but this useful device could also be recalibrated and came with a spare battery. LOVE IT.
