I received no parts replacement from Customer Service as it was cheaply made and Customer service was poor. You should spend the extra money and get American made if you're looking for an item like this for your home theater or children's events. br> * LONGER version of this sentence My gamble didn't pay off. First, my parcel arrived on my doorstep 2 days later looking like something that traveled through a war zone to get here and I knew it since shipping tape was all over it. I was looking at the box and I thought, 'I should just return it. ' So I did. My astonishment was at how well insulated it was with packing material and how little damage it appeared to have. As soon as it was assembled, I saw it was undamaged, however the door did not reach the magnet that would have kept The item was in perfect condition after I checked it carefully for So, I sent the manufacturer an email to get assistance with why the door does not fit properly to keep this short, they suggested I return it to Amazon. It transpired that my machine had been supplied with the wrong door, one designed for the 6 ounces. Although they had to be emailed twice to respond, they eventually responded. It turned out that they didn't have any doors and wouldn't get any until a few weeks later. OK, I'll wait a moment. While this was going on, I used tape to try and keep it closed at first, and eventually I created something to lift the door so it could reach I knew I was never going to hear back from them, so I moved on. In a nutshell, My research on popcorn machines has been going on for one and a half years now. After reading the reviews, I saw that it had received a number of good negative points. In my years as a mom, I worked in many concession stands and had to clean the popcorn machine. That was one negative that I read about all the time. Several people told me they had a hard time cleaning it. You can de-clutter your popcorn machine at home by taking a couple of paper towels and a couple of dry paper towels and wiping both inside and outside of the machine. Pull the handle down and you'll find that all the loose crumbs Then, dry the inside of the cabinet by wiping it down with wet towels. Take the cooker off once a week and deep clean it. The same thing can be done with a wet brush and a dry brush. Please make sure not to wet the cord or under the popper. (where the cord is connected) I find doing it that way to be so much more convenient. When you do it a few times, it becomes so much easier and you get used to Every time I use it, I wipe it down, but every once in a while I deep clean it. Besides it becoming easier as time goes on*, another bad review I see constantly is about popcorn that got damaged or My picture includes a picture of my popcorn machine that has a dent when I took it out of the box and the excitement I had quickly turned into a frown. There was a problem with the drawer that stores the kernels at the bottom, because it did not move all the way in and Having to deal with this I'd been searching for a popcorn machine for a year and a half and was a little disappointed when I couldn't find one. Also, the package said it included 3 packs of premeasured popcorn for the machine, but these were not sent. Having it would have allowed me to decide if I liked it and would have ordered more if I had. My second experiment was with another company, and their price for 24 packs was great. If you are considering this popcorn maker, I guess I can tell you that it does an amazing job, cleans up easily, makes more than enough popcorn for movie night and even parties. The negative things about the machine are the dent in it, the drawer that wasn't working, and the missing popcorn they advertised would come with it.
I did not want to repack and unpack it therefore did not feel like placing an order for a replacement. There seemed to be a lot of hassle with it. If I can remove the dent, that would be great. I don't know if they bothered to fix it or not. . . Lol
Overall, I think it's a great machine and it'll do its job. I fill my house with the smell of popcorn as soon as you enter. Don't forget to order the extra stuff to make your movie night extra special. I love it so much.
Even knowing where to begin is a difficult task! I really like this machine. Oh my gosh! There is a good chance that this is the BEST popcorn I have ever had in my 47 years on this earth! You should put away your microwave and get on board with this appliance. I realize some commenters here are complaining about it. There were only five things we needed to do to install it 1) unpack, 2) hang the glass door, 3) slide in the kernel catcher drawer, 4) hang the bottom metal fold-out The easiest thing in the world! I guess you could skip this step if you clean everything FIRST before making a batch. First, we used the kettle to boil water however, you could skip it if you want. The Clean Freaks are just freaks of cleanliness. As it turns out, we did go to the manufacturer's website and download instructions just to be sure we were following everything correctly. Nonetheless, the parts are so readily apparent as to where they all go that no instructions are required. There are some people who complain that there are no instructions. However, reading the review of those individuals is probably the best thing to do and just keep with the good work. 1) It is very simple! The kind of popcorn we used was the Great Northern All in One pack for the 8 oz machine. These are so good that words are inadequate to describe how delicious they are! My lunch today will be made from some leftovers. There is a TON of fiber too! Is sure to make you poop! I agree! Hahahaha! You've got to live, so why not take the chance.
