Questions & Answers
To get an answer to this, I called Cuisinart customer service. The SG10C is the Canadian model, they informed me.
If you haven't done so already, the bowl should be simple to remove. It's probably defective if it won't come off easily after being used to chop and crush various items. During the crushing motion, the contents of the cup may fall under the cup. I chop and crush pills, and the powder gets down there, requiring a lot of twisting to remove. Nuts and seeds can make things sticky and difficult to remove when I work with them. Anyway, I don't think the pieces that lock together will break, so don't worry about breaking it. You can apply pressure (and possibly a little extra pressure to giggle and pull the cup off) and it should do the counterclockwise click and perhaps a little extra pressure to giggle and pull the cup off.
It is connected to the power source. There's no need for batteries.
Yes, it can grind coffee, but it will never taste like coffee. The coffee flavor will pervade the rest of your spices.

I assumed this product could be completely disassembled for cleaning when I purchased it. It's not possible. Cleaning effectively is nearly impossible. br>br>Some bright spark came up with the brilliant idea of storing ground spices in the grinder itself. That's not a problem because I have a lot of plastic containers. I no longer need to keep spices in my grinder. I'd like to use my grinder to grind some beans. This product should not be purchased! br>br>.
refused to leave the house A predecessor to this model was given to us about 30 years ago, and it lasted 29 years; This one lasted only a year and a half. Don't throw money away; If you want to try something new, try a different brand.
but it was well worth the effort It's a little claustrophobic; But it was well worth it in the end. It can be used to grind any dry herb or nut, and it is simple to clean. I would tell a friend about it.
It's great for grinding cinnamon sticks on a daily basis.
