Questions & Answers

What is the shipping cost to Saudi Arabia for this item?

These items aren't available for international shipping because our manufacturer doesn't ship internationally.

For seasoning, I increased the temperature to 570°F and waited for the "ready" light to turn on, as instructed. It wasn't going to happen in 45 minutes. What exactly is your issue?

The crepe maker, I'm guessing, isn't functioning properly. The crepe maker would be returned or exchanged in my case. Within a ten-minute period, the light should have come on. It will take 15 minutes. I hope this has been of assistance.

I'm wondering if I can separate the plate and the base to clean it up. ?

No, you won't be able to tell the difference. The whole thing is made of one piece.

Is a spreader and spatula included in the package?

Yes. They're the silvery metallic variants. Although we use the spreader, we prefer to use a wooden spatula. However, it's a fantastic piece. We like it a lot. It can be used to make both pancakes and crepes.

It was everything I had hoped for and more! If I ever lose my job, I'll be able to open a Crêperie similar to those found in Paris! After visiting Paris this fall, I became enamored with the crepes sold by street vendors and small shop owners
5/5

(See photos) I worked as a professional caterer for 15 years, and I knew I had to start cooking crepes again after seeing the variety of dessert, sandwich, and fresh ingredient crepes that were gaining popularity as fast food in Paris' Latin Quarter. They're not just for the dessert table!! After scouring the internet and review sites for days, I decided on this particular piece of equipment. I've been making crepes for 30 years, starting with a hot skillet and rolling the crepe around until it covered the bottom and sides, just like many recipes suggest. If you only make Crepes once or twice a year, there's nothing wrong with using this method. br>However, I wanted the texture of the crepe I had, and as experienced cooks know, the equipment is crucial to achieving the desired result in the kitchen. I absolutely adore this product, and I am confident that your crepe creations will meet or exceed your expectations! br>There are two points to consider. This is a commercial product, so it's heavy and needs to be handled by a professional. It also needs to be properly seasoned. This is a substantial piece of machinery. It is going to take up a lot of room! The photos are of a Parisian Crepe Chef who would give this product 5***** in his restaurant if it weren't for THIS piece of equipment.

For the price, this is fantastic!! When the element in our small café failed, we purchased this to replace it
4/5

We were concerned that for this price, it wouldn't be restaurant-quality, but we were pleasantly surprised. It has a lot more surface area than our previous one, which is fantastic. It has a great appearance, is extremely sturdy, and evenly cooks. When we used it for things like tuna melts and grilled cheese sandwiches, we noticed that we had to turn up the heat setting from the old one. However, the weather is ideal for making crepes. Also, because there is no on/off switch on this, make sure you have ready access to a power outlet because it must be plugged in and unplugged to operate. The edge gets very hot, and we're running out of counter space. One of our employees was making iced tea on the first day we had it and leaned the plastic pitcher against the crepe maker's edge. The pitcher has come to an end! To avoid burns and further melted equipment, I turned the crepe maker 45 degrees, which means the temperature gauge is on one side and part of the metal rail is in front.

I used a pan on a gas stovetop and it worked out well
3/5

Following a number of trips to France, I came to the conclusion that. For years, I've used a non-dairy milk to make crepes. It worked out pretty well to use a crepe pan on a gas stove. After several trips to France, I decided to invest in a professional model such as this. It hasn't been a particularly pleasant experience, however. 1. br>br> Process of Seaoning: This has been a huge source of annoyance. I went back and forth between reading and rereading. I read the instructions several times and even watched the Waring video, which was largely ineffective.
A. First and foremost, it is unclear how difficult it will be to remove the coating. I scrubbed with steel wool for 2 minutes but didn't notice much of a difference. Since then, I've learned that removing the coating requires a lot of scrubbing. Is it supposed to be scrubbed for 20 minutes until it's bare silver metal? What is to be expected?
B. I followed the directions by using peanut oil and a paper towel. It says to wipe off the oil after each step, but I found that it scuffed or scratched the coating when I did so. The scuffs didn't go away completely.
C. The center third is black as coal, the middle third is brown, and the outer ring is nearly the same color as it was when it was first created. The fact that the center is hotter than the edges is obvious - from this, as well as seeing how it reacts to oil. Another reviewer claims to have measured the temperature with a laser thermometer and found a 100-degree difference.
D. It smells like rancid oil and will stink up your entire house if you leave it unattended - It's best to do it with a long extension cord outside. br>E. I called Waring's customer service at least six times during this process and never got through. I left messages with my phone number and name, and I haven't received a call back in over a week.
F. They uploaded a video to YouTube that is nearly useless - Basically, it's a rehash of the hazy instructions. However, one thing I noticed in the video is that their unit has a dark gun gray cook top that runs the length of the top and sides. Mine does not resemble that in the least. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Issues that aren't directly related to the topic at hand: There were no temperature instructions or recipes to be found. The unit is large and bulky, taking up a lot of counter space. I have a stand-alone induction cooktop that is about twice the diameter of this one. br>br>3. My first batch turned out tasty, but they were small and oddly shaped. It appears that because it's so hot (I cooked at 420 degrees), the batter begins to cook almost instantly - As a result, attempting to spread it rips it. The non- However, once the crepe is cooked, a stick of seasoning appears to work fairly well - The final crepes only use the middle third of the surface, indicating that the cooking is quick. The cook surface will be scratched and scuffed if you scrape with a metal spatula. 4. br>br> I tried smoothing it out with 0000 steel wool and re-applying it. The scuffs are still visible after seasoning. One thing I discovered is that it is beneficial to disregard their advice regarding the use of synthetic materials. To get a smooth coating of oil, I used a silicon cooking brush. With the uneven surface, the overall appearance is a little unattractive. I'm undecided about spending an afternoon sanding it down to metal and starting over.

This is a lovely piece that really works
3/5

I really like this item because it's so big. So, because it's heavy, make sure you have a place for it. It would be nice if it had a switch to turn it off and on. You've paid a lot of money for it and it doesn't have this feature!.

Crepe Maker with Experience Crepe maker that is incredible
5/5

At a theme park and in Boston near Faneuil Hall, we saw professionals using this crepe maker. I bought one, and after a lengthy break-in period, I was able to use it. It made fantastic crepes once it was plugged in. The burn- We have crepes a couple of times a month, so this was a great investment for us. The process took a long time, but that was not surprising given the instructions.

This item is ideal for use at home
4/5

It took about an hour and a half to prepare the machine, which included oiling and drying it according to the manual's instructions. I wish it had come with a recipe book because I didn't have one and didn't know what temperature setting to use for crepes. I've been using a Sur La Table crepe pan for many years and it cooks my crepes quickly, so having to wait longer for this machine to warm up to the desired temperature and then having to wait a little longer for the cooking time to take a little longer really tested my patience. It's the only time I've used it, and the first crepe stuck to the pan. It seemed to help if I rubbed butter on it. When it comes to cooking each crepe faster, 450 degrees seems to be the magical number. I'm hoping the cooking surface improves over time because the sticking issue is a pain. To save time, start the machine before making your batter or preparing your toppings. Because it takes about 20 minutes for the machine to reach the desired temperature, it will be ready by the time you finish.
