Using the 7 quart oval insert from Crock Pot, which had the same tabbed handles, as a suitable replacement was easy for me. Purchasing mine was easy since I found it on In my local store, there is a 7 quart crock pot on sale for $20, so if I couldn't find the oval crock pot insert online for a more reasonable price, I might just get the crock pot for $20 and use the insert with it.

I have updated the posting to include a second one that went down too, on the same spot and everything else. I had to cut the screws down further before they could be beveled down, as they get too hot and crack the insert. Not happy with the end result. In the last 8 months, I have purchased two Pixar slow cookers. The app has become a staple in my arsenal, but I don't use it everyday. Having seen the first unit, it appears that they screwed in the heating part too tightly. It had a bevel on the part between the heating and the screw. My attention was drawn to a burnt piece of food that had made its way into the heating base earlier this month because I was cleaning out the pot insert. My curiosity got the better of me, so I checked it out, then I saw the insert, it had a huge crack all the way down right beside where the burnt food was and the beveled edge In the end, I will be very disappointed if this doesn't work.

There are only a few feet of cord, but there is a perfectly placed electrical plug so I don't mind It is good for cooking, but really short. The feet of the shoes have grips so they stay put. There is only one thing I dislike about the lid -- the bottom of it doesn't have rubber to prevent it from slipping off In my previous crockpot it did that and without it I feel as if I'll crack it when placing.
