Questions & Answers

Do you know how well this juicer handles ?

Having juiced since 1973, I know its benefits. There is no better machine than Breville. Only a Norwalk press comes close. I am blown away by the price of this machine! The discoloration on carrots can be removed by soaking in bleach water periodically for 12 hours During that time, immerse parts in 1/2 cup of bleach in water sufficient to completely submerge them (a 5 gallon bucket about After you have thoroughly rinsed and scrubbed down with a soft plastic scrubber or brush, assemble the machine and start it up with the jar and pulp bin in place. You can do so in short bursts using cool water. Then, let the machine run until it is completely Allow the air to circulate for at least a few hours before using it. I guarantee it will be Since I started using that technique 45 years ago, it has become second nature to me.

It keeps flashing and will not go on low or high. It is a brand new overload protection light. Is this a problem for anyone else?

The machine just arrived today I have used it only a few times, but if you check the manual, under Troubleshooting, page 38, it states "the food processor shuts off during operation," as well as why the LCD light is flashing due to motor overload. This was the only one I found, but I am not sure if that is what is causing the problem. Congratulations! Good luck with your project!

Does this juicer work for me since I juice primarily leafy greens?

I am so impressed with the I had a wonderful experience with juicing! The Breville juicer I'm using is my third
5/5

It was not 100% satisfactory with the Elite model (a bit messy and awkward) and even with the Duo (threw giant chunks of produce violently into the pulp bin), but I trusted I had chosen the best option for me. The idea of switching to a masticating juicer from the centrifugal juicer has crossed my mind periodically, but I know that peeling and tedious chopping are not my cup of tea. It has continued to be a pipe dream to get a new Breville. This Juice Fountain Cold kept appearing to me, but the much lower cost told me it was of low quality, This is how it has been. The only word I can use to describe it is wow. The first thing that comes to mind is "What a great job!" Juicer is amazing - can't wait to use it! You can't even tell it's there! It's so much quieter, lighter and more efficient than an We changed only the pitcher and angle of the juice output spout because they were larger and more convenient. I'm sorry, but the juice is horrible! This juice is the best I've ever had. There are deeper, richer, brighter colors and so much more. I'm not sure. A hood that fits into the pulp bin like a glove makes for an even more juicier taste. The bits and pieces in my kitchen did not whizz across the floor. My best wishes to all those who did not receive them I was able to place the motorized parts in the dishwasher (the hood and pitcher could not be). Juicing has never been so easy. Although juicing may require some washing up, it is well worth the mess. This is the best news I could ask for.

You are wasting your time, money, and all the fruit and vegetables that it juices! While it was easy to operate and fast, this juicer only made juice and was ineffective
3/5

There was way too much moisture in the waste pulp. It wasn't the user's fault, so I used different sizes and shapes of fruits and vegetables I fed into the chute to be sure it wasn't a matter of user error. My first few runs showed that inserting smaller pieces into the chipper would inevitably result in parts of them being thrown away, partially chewed. The next thing I do is leave them in place progressively larger, so they have direct pressure from the plunger, holding them in place almost Nevertheless I would still wind up with a basket full of pretty big pieces of fruit or vegetables. Also tried carrots, celery, apples, cucumbers, beets, cactus fruit, lettuce, kale, cabbage, collard greens, etc. A lot of what I put in the trash just ended up as a waste of time. Those pieces that did get caught in the blade usually ended up really wet I've squeezed cheesecloth over the pulp of the juicer the last two times I used it, and I was able to squeeze out a considerable amount of juice. Here is the picture of the juice output from the last run. My attempt to fill the pitcher was to juice enough fruits and vegetables to give me approximately 75 percent of the pitcher's capacity. My next step was to squeeze out more juice by getting into the waste basket and squeezing. I squeezed two more cups of juice from the waste. As a result, I have included a picture of the juice level and of the juice that would have been wasted if I had not gone back for a As soon as I called Breville's customer service, I was informed that they would not be able to give me advise. The four phone calls I placed were recorded. In two of those cases, I waited on hold for a customer service representative who never came back. I got a call back option for the other two calls as well. No one called me back after I left my phone number. I used to have an old centrifugal juicer a few years ago. It was too loud and would shake while it was spinning so I got rid of it.

I bought a masticating juicer soon after I became afraid that it was going to explode or rip my countertop apart. Despite its size, it produced a lot of juice. My husband loved the taste of the pulp, but hated how I cut it up into little bite sized pieces. Having to wait so long for the chute to empty was such a waste of time. I moved over to this Breville to be able to throw large pieces straight into it. It is true that you spend most of the time squeezing out pulp, rather than cutting up vegetables. You're already throwing money away when you make juice anyway since this machine does the job for you. If you don't squeeze out your pulp with this thing you're wasting your money's worth. Knowing that you are only getting 60 percent of your produce used is too unnerving for me. I replaced my masticating juicer with my juicing machine.

Please be careful! There's a lot of moist pulp in here! The system is inefficient! are looking for a juicer that gets the job done quickly, then this is the one Having used this juicer for three weeks, I can attest to its effectiveness
3/5

The pulp that is wet does not agree with me. Although I have done everything that has been recommended to fix the wet pulp issue, I have not been able to fix it. Greens such as spinach and kale cannot be juiced with this. Having to deal with that was very disappointing. Juice the entire stalk of kale if you are going to juice it. Still, I only got a very small amount of juice from There is no way you can juice spinach in this machine. For this juicer, apples and all kinds of fruits were perfect. This is a good juicer, but only if you want a fast speed and when you want mainly to juice It is not a good juicer for anyone who wants to juice their greens. The new Omega 900 has just been purchased by me. That juicer is awesome!.

Throughout the day, it seemed as if I was watching the for hours on end
3/5

Using a Breville juicer instead of a 1988 Waring juicer was. . . meh. A masticating juicer, the Omega 8006, is in my kitchen. As part of my juice reboot, I am doing a 60-day fast. I felt as though I was spending all day in front of the juicer since the masticating unit required a significant amount of effort. This one took less time, which was what I wanted. During use of the plastic chute on the second day, it broke. My customer service representative sent me the part free of charge, which arrived within There are two things I'd like to point out When juicing greens, apples and carrots, a great deal of waste is generated. It is left in the pulp container when it is wet. The cost of organic produce is high, especially when used in large quantities. My masticating juicer yielded another four cups of juice from the pulp in the container after I put it through the juicer, so you can see in the enclosed photo how much was originally produced plus the masticated juice. A few pros It helps save time, is easy to clean, is speedy, and is relatively quiet. It works well with fruits such as melon, pineapple, cucumber, lemons, and oranges. * does not grow well with apples, greens, or roots vegetables (leaves chunks).

Make sure you have cheesecloth on hand! Celery juice has been a daily part of my diet for the past six I got a dry pulp at the end of my first few attempts
3/5

As you can see from my photos, I use one whole bunch of celery for a yield of about 4 cups of juice. On even days, the glass I use is just barely full and I need to squeeze 2 cups more juice through My surprise isn't as great as you might think. I just bought my first juicer and there are a lot of reviews online. It looks to be a sturdy machine that hopefully will last a long time. It is not a food processor. It still has a cloudy look on the plastic parts even though I immediately washed it. However, I am not giving up juicing, so I make sure to stock up on cheesecloth while I can and reuse it as often as possible. It takes about 30 minutes from the beginning to the end of the process. If your alarm goes off earlier, you may have to wake up early!.
