The insulated container kept our extra homemade ice cream cold and from getting freezer burned while we ate it. It is the first time we have been able to eat our ice cream before it freezes solid. Drop testing the container on our concrete sidewalk has already been completed by my son and the container has not been damaged. In the dishwasher, they are easy to clean. It was an awesome container with a great lid, but I could smell the lid for a while after finishing It's that baking soda I have in the refrigerator & As for my freezer and refrigerator, I always keep them both clean and nothing is left inside without covers or wrapping. As you can see, it is much bigger than the pictures would make you think. I originally thought it would not fit much, but I have a 2 quart ice cream machine and it fits all of it with some room to spare.

I am very pleased with it. This is an attractive and practical design. As of right now, they have two kinds of gelato in the freezer (I have not put them through the dishwasher yet). There are no dishwasher safe instructions on the box this is a little concerning to me. The Amazon description made it clear this is the case.
