That is not something I would assert. It quickly heats up. On low heat, keep the water boiling.
I'm not sure what Wattage it is, but it works fine on a standard household wall outlet.
I've never refrigerated any of my hot pot, so I'm not sure. I'm sorry I wasn't able to assist you.
I've never used it for that because I already own a rice cooker. It's possible, in my opinion - While cooking, you may need to keep an eye on it. Cheers!

I bought a Hot Pot similar to this one several years ago and it lasted for six years. Every day, I use it multiple times! I liked it so much that I ordered another one a few months later. This newer Hot Pot, unlike the previous one, does not have a measurement scale on the side. It takes a long time to heat 2 cups of water in this one. And the lid on this one is so tight that if you try to remove it while it's full of hot water, you'll probably get splashed. Finally, the lid design is flawed, as pouring with the top on leaks water all over the counter. That's why I make an effort to remove the top before pouring. I believe the firm hired someone who is attempting to boost profits by lowering the quality of the components used.
There's not much else you can do with it. Burner heats up far too quickly and would quickly burn any solid food, even when set to the lowest setting as soon as it's plugged in. It boils water quickly, but keeping it clean would be difficult given the design, which features a burner raised into the interior. Cooking anything with the lid on and attempting to remove the lid before it has cooled (you must physically hold the pot down) is dangerous. With one hand pulling the lid and the other attempting to hold the pot, it was difficult. After my first use, I requested a refund.
I bought it to warm milk, but even on the lowest setting, it's too hot. On the lowest setting, the milk was scalded in a matter of minutes. Inside, the warming plate has a terrible non-stick surface. surface to stick to Scrubbing off the seared-on food took about an hour. on milk. I used a soft cloth and soap to try to remove the stain. After that, I used a plastic scrub brush, a plastic scouring pad, an SOS pad, and finally Bon Ami abrasive cleanser. Nothing seemed to work. I had to scrape it with a small metal spatula for quite some time! The package instructions state that anything other than water should be stirred frequently, but the lid is difficult to remove, making this dangerous due to hot liquid splashing. This product is not recommended because it lacks a "Ready" or "Keep warm" function, making it incapable of maintaining a low temperature and never turning off unless unplugged. Even when I simply boiled water, the steam holes in the top allowed it to completely boil over onto the counter top. You can't leave this thing running if you don't want something bad to happen. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
I tried it out as soon as I got it; it's plastic, and it looks and feels cheap, but for the price, I'm satisfied. When we travel, it is very convenient to prepare a hot soup. Four stars because:br>1 there is no indicator light;br>2 the lid is too tight, but this isn't a major flaw. br>3 The temperature dial isn't working properly; it's either boiling fast or not boiling at all. However, as long as I keep the lid open, the soup is ready in no time.
This is all I use it for is boiling water for ramen, instant coffee, and hitting chocolate. It's also something I've done while doing the dishes. I had a particularly bad pan that I knew required soaking in extremely hot water. When it was half full, it took me less than a minute to bring it to a boil. I poured it into my soapy pan, and it worked wonders. br>br>It performs exactly as I had hoped. I'm deducting a star because I have to pry the lid off with the tips of my fingers every time; perhaps it's warped, I'm not sure.
This came in handy while we were on vacation at Disney World. It worked great for making noodles and heating up tea water. The temperature regulation functioned admirably. It slowed down from a raging boil to a gentle simmer. Because there is no off switch, make sure it is unplugged. It was difficult to put on and take off the top. Cleaning was simple, but because it's made of plastic, I was hesitant to use it for soup.
This was perfect for the office; I rarely have time to eat lunch, so this was a great way to heat something up quickly while still working. For a few weeks, this worked, but then it stopped working. br>I didn't care for the fact that the heating element was directly in contact with the food. The food would stick to the bottom unless it was constantly stirred. Cleaning was difficult because water always found its way into the bottom portion, no matter how hard you tried to keep it out. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I purchased two of them within a week of one another. At home, I used the second one to quickly reheat soups and other foods. When the first one died at work, I brought the second one in, but it died after only a week of daily use.
After several years, the first one is still going strong. There are more high-tech water boiling solutions available, but this model style does exactly what I need it to do quickly, and I don't have to worry about sensor failures or the fact that it's not on a pedestal or anything; all I want is hot water. Although there isn't much temperature control in my opinion, I believe that most people will simply want hot water as soon as possible, and this guy boils water quickly. I was a little concerned about this newer opaque white model because the other model I have is translucent blue and is a little easier to visually tell when water is boiling. However, it's just as easy to tell when the water has come to a boil (first, the sound is obvious, but you can also easily peek into the spout). For those who can't wait for hot water, this is a great option.
